Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Are we gonna see some new heroes being introduced to the upcoming update? Like Rex and Ahsoka?

No new heros at the moment, maybe in an update further later this year though. Both are planned to be added though!

Whatever happened to Imperial Assault II? I recall RAW and IA2 merged but there were supposed to be two versions.

lol that was ages ago! I remember that but you know how moding goes.. Real life tends to take us away from it.. We are all doing this as a hobby after all... Even though I wish I could do this fun stuff full time! ;) but yeah beats me what happened there but at least we have what we got! It is so great and I cannot wait what the team comes up with in the next release!

First of all, I'm freaking out about the news. The GIF actually says it all. Welcome back!
At the same time, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to merge with Fall of the Republic now? Provided both sides get together.
We probably won't get EaW2 unfortunately. And the performance of FoC is always reaching its limits. Therefore, as much as possible should be taken out of the existing and forces should be bundled. Maybe something can be done Even to the engine?
However, all the best to the Team!

Merging with FoTr is not in the cards. Both teams have very different philosophical differences. These are so great that they just would not work together. In short we are two VERY different mods with two very different groups of people. I think you will be happy with what is coming out.

Well, one of the things that I criticize the people of FoTR is the fact that their models do not have rotating turrets because according to them it causes lag, since EaW Remake and AoTR most of their ships, if not all, have their turrets moving to shoot, I'm not saying it's not true, but if a mod as elaborate and as detailed as EaW Remake did it, why don't they do the same?
