First off, allow us to apologize for our prolonged absence - we've had much to contend with and it's been a very exciting (and sometimes turbulent) year for us.
However, we are happy to announce the launch of a devblog for our new game, BEACON, a sci-fi action roguelike coming to PC. We know this might not be your cup of tea as it is very different from Black Snow, but give us a chance to impress you. And if it happens to be right down your alley, then by all means follow us along the development of the game and chime in to give your feedback as we create the product together!
Follow the development of the game alongside us here at our devblog. If you are curious about who "we" are, check out our website.
//INITIATING INTERNAL MEMO 1.TH.289A //FORWARDING TO ALL IPR PERSONNEL... ATTENTION ALL PERSONNEL IN CELL 1-5, PROJECT BLACK SNOW IS NO LONGER A VIABLE...
boop bop beep boop. Robots. And spooky programming. (We couldn't figure out what to fill up the 50 character min limit with, but we guess we just did...)
Black Snow V 1.05 released! Include fixes for indoor fog, missing textures, and config override. Recommended for those who have not played yet!
Take the role of John Matsuda, an IT technician trapped in a Greenland research station - he might find his way out and struggle against unknown forces...
This patch fixes most issues related to engine branch incompatibility and is designed to run using the latest "Beta" of Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer...
First attempt at fixing the exit key issue, replace your maps folder with the one in the zip file and pray it works!
This is a small patch for those of you who already downloaded V.1.01, please overwrite everything with this!

I see you get inspiration from "The Thing" my favorite horror movie:P
Good luck with project.
Thank you! And yes, The Thing has been a big influence on this project along with several other movies.
So what other movies are you putting in the game? will there be more movie ideas.
There are some but The Thing is the biggest influence, Sunshine and Alien are also big inspirations of mine as well as the Silent Hill game series (excluding the newer ones).
Sorry guys but this might be looking to be more early November than on Halloween, my PC just gave up and I've been waiting for a replacement which won't arrive until Tuesday, kinda delayed my plans a bit.
Don't worry, I'm still excited for this game, it's gonna be great!
Playing it on halloween must have been more special, but for me early November is okay too. It's even better if you ask me so I don't have to miss the awesome Halloween parties.
Anyways, good luck ;)
Yep, I will definitely be releasing this in Nov not Oct - sadly there are too many things that needed more time to polish.
LOL The Kennels look like an exact replica. Keep up the great work!
"Hm, looks nice. The mapping is good and the style looks pretty familiar...wait...Kremator is working on this game? HOLYFUCKAWESOMEOMGYES!"
Pretty much my reaction, though maybe you guys could help me out a bit because my heart (and some other unidentifiable organs) seems to have been exploded out of pure awesomness. Maybe you could promise me to release Canvas before 2089 to ease the pain :D
Just kidding, now go and make us proud :-)
Won't let you you down sir!
Can't wait, I'm so estatic and pumped up for this. Hmmm Multiplayer mode might be nice? Called Deception where 1 person starts out as "The Thing" but no one knows who and gets other people who barricade and hide and have to scavange for weapons. You did say it was based of The Thing, but I'm not sure how much.
I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm lol - I don't think I can attempt an MP mode by myself as I don't code that well. While it is inspired by The Thing it is not a replica so the game won't be exactly the same as the movie.
