Glad you're enjoying yourself! :-)

It wasn't really complaining, more like criticism towards the approach to balancing. I do agree that the added challenge is a good thing, but I think I took it a step too far in previous updates. There were too many restrictions and many common creatures were too spongy.

With that said I think I'm pretty happy with the balance in 5.3, and it's likely that balance changes will be few and far between from now on.

Hey,

I don't use grass, but I know there used to be some sort of grass generator for custom landscapes. Dunno where to find it nowadays though :/

TR will work, but there will be some oddites here and there like floating trees, or rocks covering up entrances (these can be removed with console command 'disable'. Some issues can arise when it comes to balance as well, if that's something that bothers you.

Hm never heard of this issue before, but yes it might have to do with you using the german version. It's recommended for us/uk versions.

The hills of the Grazelands felt awefully empty, so I added some larger rocks here and there (like seen in other regions). This is a work in progress.

I dont think its possible due to them being treated as 'creatures'. Wish I could add ownership though.

It updates thousands of models, but very few textures. It also makes a TON of gameplay changes to pretty much every system. More details can be found on the opening page.

I recommend to always update your save games when installing a new update. Also don't forget to backup your old saves in case anything goes wrong.

It all depends on what kind of mods you are using. If it's only mods that add content/changes textures then you'd be fine, but if you are using a lot of mods that alter the way things look (models) then it might be difficult to install a new version without overwriting.
