Thank you so much! The update version of this mod and its siblings is also possible. Although it's surely gonna take quite a while.

If you mean renaming them to be match with the one that already in the main mod. Yes, you should because to replace the old texture this is the only way to make it appears.
The rest is already provided in the read me files. But if you still have a problem, please contact me directly through the private chatbox (MODDB) or in STEAM: [SV]FeReise.
Make sure you also read article #7 and/or read me files thoroughly when you're installing. But if there's still an issue, please contact me through the private chatbox (MODDB) or in STEAM.

For this kind of details, I gotta need to ask gicombat first.

May I ask is "Bisoso" your STEAM account's name? Because there is no reply from this account for almost a week now and I need to unfriend it.
UPDATE April 23rd, 2023: There's no reply at all and I have to unfriend it.
Possibly those who have disc/retail version. The rest we have to ask those who pointed out the issue on their non-steam versions (incompatible with our mods and such) when we start working on the first updated versions of this mod in the first place.
Probably because the game itself can't really handle the new models or it might be something even more complicate than that (according to Gicombat). This issue also happened with some other overhaul mods as well.
In which directory, may I ask? And make sure you install the rest of the files correctly also. You can see more details in the Article/Update news #7 and the main read me file for instruction. Let me know in a private chatbox or contact me in STEAM if you still have the issue.
It's gonna be complicated to do so and I've no idea if it's gonna work since we ain't sure if the codes for visor caps are applied into the mod.ff file or not. Also, the officers normally wear either a field cap or tropical helmet throughout the Pacific theater anyway. I've never seen any wartime-photograph show that they wear the visor cap with tropical styled-officer uniforms (open collar), to be honest.
Strange, this stand-alone version of Pacific mod doesn't change anything in the Soviet/Eastern front's missions at all. Might be the error that already existed in the original game.
Make sure you install everything correctly, according to the instructions (readme files) and the latest article#7.
Are you sure that you install everything correctly? The new versions should have no problem with non steam from now on, if you read instructions and even articles properly. Let me know in chatbox if you still have the issue.
I must apologize but since the main purpose of this mod and its siblings is aiming to increase historical accuracy into WaW, I'm afraid it's impossible for me to do anything on this one. But if you really want to manually change it, open the mod's main iwd file (Pacific 1.8) by using WinZip, open aitype folder, then you can change details in the Japanese related files (recommend for the ones with 'Type100' name).
Read the latest article #7 for further instructions or even restart the game might help. And I gotta say that quite many of the technical issues are the one that already existed in the main game.
I'm sorry but that's a whole new level in making WaW mods for us XD
Right now we're just looking for adding new things and improve the existed materials to be even better in a future project.
Try restart the game and play the mission again. And we'd recommend you rechecking the files and folders (plus, reading the latest article and instruction once again) to see if you missed anything else while you installed the mod. Please contact me (FeReise) directly in the private chatbox if you still have this problem.
Do you have any other image or source about the insignia on their uniforms? (Both units)
May I ask do you have any pic or information of the emblem/insignia on their beret hats?
Seems like it's happened with venomgj's COD3 German models only and we don't know how to fix it yet.
I guess it's possibly because of either the 'imported models' can't handle the WaW's burning physics/mechanics, or they just don't support/connect to each other. Or it might be something else we have no idea what it is yet.
I've no idea what kind of skin that is. Or do you actually mean the ones with Japanese headband? If that so, because of that kind of detailed headband should be uncommon and appear among Kamikaze pilots instead. For the regular soldiers it should be the relatively common ones like a regular white headband with a red circle on it.
Probably just a bug in the game or you didn't set up the options like we suggest in the article yet. Alternatively, are you sure that you install it correctly on both 'main game' and 'mods folder' directories? Please check the latest article and/or readme file carefully. But if you still have any question, please contact me in the private chatbox or STEAM account.
Rising Sun skin? Do you mean the flags in Okinawa missions?
Excellent! Expect to see more from you guys.
It's a complicate matter to remove COD3 models in this version, and I wouldn't recommend to manually remove them by your own.
While for the weapon textures:
1) Open FoB3.6 (.iwd) file by using Winrar/Winzip
2) Click 'images' folder
3) Remove/delete "w_..._c.iwi" and "weapon_..._c.iwi" related files.
4) Do the same as above for Pacific 1.8 (.iwd) file.
Please recheck if you install all the files correctly or not. And I'd recommend you read the instructions again, in the latest article and 'read me' files just for precaution.
