Never do business if: time-critical, love your money
Never, ever, ever engage with purchasing anything through Dan.com and Godaddy.
A week ago, we've purchased domain name and wired payment little over $8k. Week went by, and earlier today, we were informed that domain is not owned by seller anymore AND they can't locate our payment.
Ridiculous thing here is that domain is listed on DAN.com now for $5k. After few email exchanges, they've told us that first payment will be refunded, but we need to make a purchase, again. So at that point, they're holding $8k.
Asking that we get in touch with seller directly since this domain is crucial for our deadline (we were fooled by Trustpilot reviews that transfer should be quick), they've denied - privacy laws, concerns and whatsoever. Okay, let's make another purchase.
After we wired another $5k to them, we were just informed "Our finance and transfer team is out of the office and we can't do a THING before Monday".
Our project deadline is 6/9 (Sunday).
What happened? Dan is effectively holding over $13k of our money in their possession, not giving us domain name, and we now need to make ANOTHER purchase, directly with seller.
I advise you, DO NOT ENGAGE IN DOING BUSINESS WITH DAN.COM, GODADDY.COM OR ANY OF THEIR SUBSIDIARIES.
