TELECOMWORLDWIRE-24 September 2004-Federation Against Software Theft warns against ignoring font licensing(C)1994-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Federation Against Software Theft's (the Federation) Font Software Group has issued a statement stressing the importance of including fonts in a company's software audit.

Companies are not aware of issues connected with font licensing, such as licensing fonts for a limited number of workstations, restrictions on font usage and embedding or prohibition to alter font software, said the Federation spokesperson. Organisations that fail to include fonts in their software audit may face legal liability.
