The Hotel: Lost Contact version 4.5 and previous numbers
were always tested on Gzdoom version 4.6.0. (should work fine on newer versions too)
as such mod is meant to be played with Gzdoom
IWAD: Doom 2
Single player: Mainly designed for Single
Multiplayer: Coop player starts on some levels (experimental idea/incomplete)
Gengre: Horror
Weapon reloading and item slot use.
Crouching, some jumping and even some swimming,
hope you have binded your keys before you encounter
these challenges.
Couple Puzzles too.

Maps were designed for use of 'Dark' Sector light mode.
After finishing map01, I see the screen telling me the stats, helicopter noises... but I can only get to map02 via console... maybe I used the wrong exit? i IDDT on the map but found no alternate exit...
Level transition is suppose to happen if you press "use". Go to Gzdoom's "Customize controls" > "action" and look for "use / open", whatever you have there set, press it (when you're in stats). Let me know if it works.
Thanks for the timely reply. Unfortunately, I had already tried this, and pressing other keys such as fire, altfire, reload, use item, jump crouch etc.
On the console I see the stats message being spat out continuously.
On the screen nothing appears like on the set brightness levels "press use to continue" or something like that.
I'm on gzdoom 4.10, compatlevel everything default, DOOM2.WAD, no other wads whatsoever.
EDIT: after typing the above, I alt-tabbed back into the game and opened and closed the map (TAB) then pressed the use key (E) like crazy and finally... now entering... map02
not sure what happened, oh well
My friend told me before having a similar issue, eventually he got it to work when tried pressing "use" button, which should be same as opening doors, it does confuse me little because i do not have trouble myself entering next level. I don't know maybe i'll find something when i play it again, i thought everything was fine when i tested maps through.
I have only played MAP01 and the start of MAP02, but can say, this is a labor of love, very nice WAD, excellent ambiance.
I hope there will be more versions where the authors can express more creativity and polish. The ambiance is excellent, but a little jank...
On MAP01 some secrets can only be found by the map, because on a wall that opens or is a passage there is no telegraphing texture or glow or a suspecting missing section of baseboard, mainly the mp5k on the first section, or the two secrets after the first red key. And in the second blue key bathroom section, after pressing the last switch to open the exit, there is a monster in a toilet to which the door never opened in my two playthroughs, so I noclipped to kill him. Finnaly, there is a monster closet on west of the first section, that in both playthroughs, there was 2 or 3 monsters that never teleported in, and even via console "kill monsters" I could not exit the level with 100% kills.

I'm stuck on the 2nd map. I've gotten the yellow key but can't find out where to go? Any hints on where to find the blue key? I suspect it has to do with the switch in the big open backrooms-like area you access with the yellow key but everyone time I flip it, it flips right back off with no change
Sounds like you found a puzzle. Solve it and you'll find out.

Nm, I managed to figure it out but boy howdy was that an annoying puzzle. To confirm, there are only 2 missions atm?
As in 2 levels? No. There are multiple levels to go through, it ends when epilogue and credits start rolling.
