how can i verify that the reflections are working on surfaces other than water? i've not seen any, is it only during rain? or only on certain guns perhaps?

I've been using this mod since first release, and after the first SSR release was disappointed that I couldn't use the water FX, but everything else became mandatory! Well, with the latest release the SSR looks better than the (glossy) Mod so well known, in my opinion, the 'wetness' is just right and the water looks amazing. Great work, this is a must have, indispensable mod if not just for the amazing SSS and SSDO but you're doing everything else better too! Nice! 10/10

I wouldn't play without it!

I'm using michiko, so the weather is pretty strong and seems that my flora settings does nothing, i set it at 0.001, i can even disable it but nothing, too much glow on the flora in swamp

glow 0.001
glow min 0.03 also tried 0.05

Open the file "screenspace_reflections.h" and replace the value of G_SSR_FLORA_INTENSITY with a lower value.

the skadovks walls and floor look like shining or watery from afar and my fps are getting tanked especially when raining,all that while using ssdo on low and even without it,how do i fix that?

Im using the water option and beef's nvg and installed the patch provided including GTR along with its optional better parallax and better shaders,cinematic vfx 3.6 and expedition graphics and reshade only

The included shaders are not exactly performance friendly, the effects are heavy and can impact your FPS if your PC is not powerful enough. ( For reference, my VGA is a GTX1060 and at 1080p with all the shaders enabled, my game run around 50 ~ 70fps )

About the shining artifacts... Have you tried without GTR?, the SSR shader has presented some compatibility problems with some GTR textures. A screenshot can help me to identify the type of problem you're facing.

no its not that my pc can play anomaly effortlesly but it seems the problem is indeed GTR and SSS combined and the lag could be caused by the hd models all around the map

Hey, I messed up the installation and game is looking like this now Youtu.be. I was wondering if you might know what might have happened.

I assume it must be related to shader-cache. Since I got this problem when I deleted the cache. But I'm not sure.

Mods that might be conflicting are:

Enhanced Shaders and Color Grading - Moddb.com

Glossy Surfaces SSR - Moddb.com

Skies Redux - Moddb.com.

any help would be appreciated.

Edit: It definitely must be related to shaders, when I run the game in vanilla the same problem still applies.

Edit 2: I found the problem, it's not your mod. It's the in-game ambient occlusion. When I switched from SSDO back to HBAO the image went back to normal, Thus I am unable to use your mod.

But why? with my old laptop I never had this issue and my drivers are up to date. Can it be that the file is corrupted?

In the majority of the cases if the screen is black it's because of an incorrect installation of patches. Check if you're not using the ES patch without ES installed or vice versa.

I'm getting white screens when I'm using it with Beef's NVGs, I installed the mods (plus patches for Beef's NVGs AND Enhanced Shaders) through MO2. Are there any settings I'm missing?

How would I go about uninstalling this after throwing it into my gamedata folder? Forgot to make a backup aha. I like the look of it I just find everything WAY too glossy. Concrete shouldn't be glossy like a window xD

If the game is extremely glossy, then something is not working right. To answer your question... You can check the files included in my MOD and remove the files accordingly. Be careful if you have any other MOD that modify the file "combine_1.ps", restore the file from that MOD.

Sorry to bother, for some reason there is a weird, faint black outline at the edge of the screen. Any way to fix this in the config? Using ES + BEEF's NVG shader with the included patches.

Yes, still the same (vannila + your mod only) :/
Playing on 90 fov it is a bit more apparent than lower fov. Maybe some ingame graphics setting related to it?

Edit: Shader cache was also cleared etc.

I don't think so, looks like some incompatibility problem... What GPU do you Have? Are you using any antialiasing option inside the game or in yours GPU drivers settings?

I have some ideas to test based on your screenshot... Going to send you a test version later.

Great! I can send you a screen of my settings ingame if you want. But I am using MSAA 4x + SMAA (very high) in options.
VGA? You mean GPU? If so a RTX 2080 and options in NVIDIA control panel are default.

I have an issue with HD models where *only Snitch* at the bar has a face texture like glass or water, a very glossy material, traced it back to SSS. All the other models look fine. Looks like this: Cdn.discordapp.com

It's a problem with the model texture. You can fix the issue adjusting the glossy channel ( red channel ) of the texture file.

The installation is missing the SSR main files.
You need the 03 - SSR and 03 - SSR - Patch ( ES & Beefs_NVGs )

I have a new problem... I had the same with Glossy_Surfaces_SSR but managed to make it work there but I do not know how :D.

The Water shader doesn't get applied, I have the SSR Water option installed and activated last and started the game with the launcher deleting the shader cache but the water looks like the standard Stalker water and surfaces look normal too.

Tried it with only your mod enabled on a fresh Anomaly version. It feels like the SSR Water shader does nothing, I do not know if I just can not see the difference or the Glossy Surface SSR Water effect is just over the top in comparison to yours (The Glossy Surface SSR Water drains FPS as ****)

Well, the water surfaces are pretty notorious with my shader. You can check the screenshots on the description. If you water doesn't look like my screenshots Media.moddb.com, something is wrong.

The water depend a lot on the sky conditions, if the sky is bright the reflection is cleaner. Anyway, the next update will introduce a lot of new things for the water. Wait till then if you're not happy with the current shader. You always have the option to use the water of Glossy Surfaces with my MOD.

I decided remake my addon setup for Anomaly because there is a **** ton of undocumented changes between many mods from learning the whole addon stuff. I have problems to introduce new addons for the same stuff so when I deactivate some addons the game will not start and I rather do a fresh and cleaner installation then finding every little thing that causes crashes. It will be fun to implement all my changes because I changed ammo, weapon, medical, sleep, hunger, thirst, food, repair and so on to my liking but whatever.

The next update of your shader mod should be easy to update and I am 100% sure your version works now.
