"Loner"
Part 1 of a complete weapon reanimation and rebalance pack for Anomaly.
"Loner" - focusing mainly on early-game and common weapons found in the Zone.
The goal of this mod is to provide an enhanced experience to the vanilla arsenal complete with new animations, weapon balancing and stat tweaks, and addition of jamming and firemode select animations.
***IMPORTANT NOTES***
- This was designed for 0.4 HUD FOV and supports up to 0.5. Going higher may lead to undesired results.
- This pack is not completed and only replaces the weapons listed below.
- This mod is still in development and may contain bugs or errors.
- Playing with "Enhanced Recoil Effect" option is not recommended when using my weapons.

Idk. Maybe. Probably not. I have no intentions of making the mod compatible with every other addon out there, however the scope of the project is simple and should be easy for anyone to make their own compatibility patches.

I seriously cannot wait until you get to the NATO weapons. Is it possible to include both a bolt release reload and charging handle reload for those guns like the M4A1, M16, and LR-300? (The charging handle one is basically what's already in the stock versions of those three weapons I mentioned from Anomaly) :D
Oof... I personally hate charging handle reloads, lol. Maybe I will include an optionals folder... we'll see.

I always thought using the charging handle was inaccurate. But I found out that you could use it irl, but it's always recommended to use the bolt release. Especially when in the military.

For some reason, the SKS (both version new/old) doesn't have a firing sound but reload, holster, bullet impacts are fine,
The order of the mods I activated is
JSRS p1-p3, your animation addon, your JSRS patch
Yeah I was made aware of this. Redownload my latest JSRS patch and it should be fixed.

Don't know if it's just me or someone else has this problem too; sometimes a crackle kind of sound happens on right side speaker/headphone. so far couldn't figure it out what causes this but for now seems random. I have tested without the mod and that sound doesn't happen. Tried with/without the patch for JSRS too but no luck.
Edit: It seems to happen in Great Swamp more often. Disabling soundscape addon didn't help. I'm using latest version you've uploaded v5.
Hey mate, first of all awesome mod! Always wanted some new reanimation for vanilla game weapons :) But for me the ak 74 unjam animation doesn't work. Whenever I unjam it like goes to holster and comes back but no pulling of the charging handle. The same is happening with akm.
I am also using the weapons part overhaul mod and I am also using the latest version of this mod. Any ideas about this?
Installed order:
jsrs all 3 parts->your reanimation mod-> your jsrs patch-> weapons part overhaul mod
Absolutely mandatory for Anomaly and should be integrated into vanilla anomaly once all the packs are completed IMO, these animations are just soooo good.

Anomaly 1.6, which I assume is the next update, will get it's own weapon pack that will be impelmented in vanilla.

I like very mutch the addon but can you make magazines to show bullets in real time like if you fire all rounds and then reload the mag is visualy empty? It will be very cool :)
I don't think the engine supports different animations to play based on ammo count in the magazine, just as how it currently doesn't allow it for being able to play a different animation when swapping ammo.
If the engine gets that support this would definitely be a nice detail.

Hey, just wanna put in that my AKS-74's don't seem to have working animations. The hands are all right but the gun itself doesn't move an inch, nor does the magazine. The AK-74s all work, as does everything else [at least what I've gotten around to], but the AKS-74 just doesn't.
Upon closer inspection, there's no wpn_aks74 folder in meshes/anomaly_weapons
It has a listing inside of hud_animation and hud_hands_animation, but it seems not to work anyways.
I don't know if the lack of a wpn_aks74 folder is intended or not, because if it is then the problem probably lies somewhere else. I'm still in the process of tinkering around with the .ltx files to see if I can fix it myself, or if it's some mod conflict
I doubt it's a mod conflict considering that I went and solo'd this one to be sure, but, it still could be.
Please remove your previous installing and download the newest hotfix -- let me know if this fixes your issue.
No dice for me, but I've not had the chance to test it solo so I'm gonna assume at this point it's one of my extra mods conflicting. I'll do some tinkering around for myself to see where I'm conflicting, and let you know if I get anywhere personally. Thanks!
I tested it on an install with JUST my mod installed, and aks-74 works.
It seems that selecting firemode on AK-74M is broken. While pressing the button the gun visually disappears and futher animations are impossible. Only removing gun from the slot and taking it back renews the ability to use.
Maybe the problem is that I use B&S, but anyway.

Here`s a video, you can see the comparison between selecting firemode on AKSU (everything is fine) and AK-74M (problematic). The same problem follows AK-103, AK-104, AK-102.

There is no sound of jerking the shutter from Mosin, there is a default sound, there is sound with BaS, it disappears with this addon. No matter how hard I tried to fix weapons_sounds, it didn't work.
Are you using JSRS? If yes, get the JSRS patch.

I tried to load my save with your mod, my game crashed, and when you start a new game everything is fine.
I've been playing on my old save with this addon without any problems.
Well, I don't know what to do, the game just crashes when the safe is loaded.
You should check a crash log and consider other mods compatibility/installation order (if any).

With a new game, everything works fine, I don't know why.
I`m not an expert, but maybe the reason is that you have AK-105 in your inventory or stash and this mod changed smth with it.
Anyway, in case you use Boomsticks, it is recommended to install all weapon changing mods before it.
This is right I use it with BaS and it's running just fine.
Sounds like a problem with a different addon.
