RealRTCW is an overhaul mod for critically acclaimed Wolfenstein classic. It features improved visuals, expanded arsenal, rebalanced gunplay and proper modern systems support!
Major update including further polishing, improved controller support and weapon fire modes
1. Download "realrtcw3.3.zip"
2.Unzip the "realrtcw3.3.zip" archive somewhere.
3. Open "!copy the content of this folder into rtcw root directory" folder which is located in unzipped archive.
4.Copy everything in this folder to your clean and legit installation of Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Replace files if needed.
5. Launch RealRTCW.x64.exe to play the mod.

Seems much smaller than the 6gb v.3.0.
Because complete edition of 3.0 includes addons.
For 3.1 you need to download them separately.(addons pack)

Просто в steam версии при запуске он спрашивает, что запустить. Я думал может через параметр какой-нибудь и на фри версии игры можно запустить.
Насколько я знаю нет. Нужны игровые архивы из лицензии. На старте RTCWCOOP проверяет checksum всех .pk3 файлов

I have a problem with RealRTCW x64.
I installed the mod, it worked well, but with big fps drops. I setted the dedicated nVidia GPU for default card, then it worked much better. But I made a mistake, in the game I setted the rend2, then the game was stop working. When I tried to run it, I face with a black screen (intro video doesn't played), then I push an Enter, the black screen continues, and if I move the mouse, the game plays the sounds of the menu entries, but nothing more happens.
Tried to delete autoexec.cfg and wolfconfig.cfg, nothing happens. Tried to run the stock game .exe, the intro video plays, but then the black screen still there.
Then tried to reinstall the whole game, the problems still there. Tried to reset the things in nVidia control center, nothing changes.
Then tried the x86 version, "not responding", then stopped it with taskman. Then tried to run x64, I become an error message, it asked for safe mode. Tried safe mode, x64 runs with a small window, without intro, and black screen with mouse sounds still here.
Help me please, I'm completely lost with this.

I think you deleted wrong wolfconfig. You need to delete the one located in the My Documents/RealRTCW/main

Why the hell explosive barrels debris are exploding too? And not just exploding, but only if it touching player.
P.S. FOV slider and console command doesn't seem to work.
I never messed with the barrels or anything. If you can record a video showcasing an issue, that would be great.
FOV slider works, you just need to disable the fixed fov cvar in the same menu.
Console works - just press ~ when you are on the ENG keyboard layout or SHIFT+ESC on any keyboard layout.

Some console commands only works with devmap command, which is sucks because some maps are broken with dev parameter - like no enemies and crashes on picking up items or gold.
Another thing that bothering me is extensive visual weapons recoil, not gameplay, makes me kinda nauseous. Can it be tweaked somehow?
Video access is restricted. I cannot watch it.
Don't use the devmap command.
Use spdevmap command.
Devmap is for mp maps.
No tuning for the recoil as for now, sorry.
Okay I changed some profile settings, no idea how it works on moddb for user content, but it should be available now.
One more question, is there some benefits from using new renderer or it's safe to use vanilla without losing any fancy RealRTCW graphics enhancements? In some heavy scenes new renderer can be heavy enough even for modern GPU.
Regarding the video - it seems that this barrel stuff is defined by the mapper.(on this w3d map debris is exploding). Not sure how it works exactly but its not something I changed in my mod. Never even saw a line of code which could alter this stuff.
It's safe to use vanilla renderer, yes. Rend2 is experimental and still WIP.

This may be due to innapropriate video settings. Would you like to start with "safe" video settings?"
(я понимаю, что там написано) но до этого игра вообще не запускалась - запуск в первый раз!
и потом две кнопки "да" или "нет",
и принажатии любой из этих кнопок продолжение одинаковое - после этого появляется окно игры, которое очень много раз моргает очень быстро раз 20 и потом закрывается и появляется новое сообщение ERROR c записью:

я сохранил этот лог - там очень много записей - и там я уже ничего не понимаю... могу скопировать сюда
в чём беда?
я ещё с этого сайта скачал файл opengl32.dll - положил его в папку с игрой - теперь окно игры не моргает, а несколько секунд черное окно продержится и потом закрывается

Прочитай одно из обновлений, ибо там сказано что x86 был убран.

Is there a way to enable cheats, that doesn't include directly spawning into a map, thus skipping cutscenes and forcing you to play on normal difficulty?
It's also quite a hassle to dig through the files of the addon-campaign's files to find the map names.

I am aware of the /spdevmap workaround, it's not what i asked about though, unless i have overlooked something.
With /spdevmap you miss the intro cutscenes in some of the mods and you can't choose difficulty, moreover it's quite annoying to dig through the game files to find the addons map names.

Thanks that is a handy list, it at least partially solves the mapname problem. But you are still forced to play on normal when using /spdevmap. For some reason a console command for difficulty was never implemented in RTCW...
