The best RA2/YR mod I've played, essentially a completely new game in itself.
The MO team has managed to breathe a new life into this old classic, completely reworking the factions, units and game balance into something new and interesting. The use of Ares DLL greatly increased the variety of unit abilities, making them even more useful and specialized for different roles.
The new graphic assets are nothing short of amazing, with masterfully made voxel models and sidebar icons completely matching the RA2 original style.
The soundtrack is a story for itself- a huge mix of tunes including a lot of Frank Klepacki's work go perfectly well with the frantic game action.
A variety of new game modes and easy online multiplayer combined with full fledged campaigns will keep you entertained for quite a long time.

This mod is really a role model of modding when it comes down to sheer quality, dedication of the team and knowledge of the base game. Sure, it's not perfect, after all it is still a beta; not to mention it is called as "Almost Perfect". But I believe that this mod should be a proper expansion to the original, its quality is just that top notch, with all the redrawn graphics of units, insane amounts of content, rebalanced gameplay which makes the player actually think about how to play (instead of just spamming a single kind of tank over and over). I just can't praise this project enough. I really hope that when the final is out, it will be very well appreciated.
I give Mental Omega 10/10 because this mod is the coolest of the coolest, the awesomest of the awesomest! This mod is the best as it has the coolest tanks, infantry, structures, support powers and missions! The bugs are just showing to people who didn't patched it. But this mod is astounding! This is not just a mod, but a LEGENDARY MOD!
I would like to rate this 11/10................As long as i can remember the first game i ever saw or played was Command and conquer Red Alert 2 since then its my favoirite and i loved it this mod is the best mod ever
This is one of the most professionally made mod for Yuri's Revenge ever. Everything in Mental Omega 3.0, from the campaign storyline to the new units and new subfactions to the unit's skins has been remade/modified while still keeping the original Red Alert atmosphere. The fact that the first beta revision is very fun to play, still has a excellent level of balance in multiplayer and singleplayer gameplay, and is still being worked on by the developers(aka the Mentalmeisters) with more new content, tweaking balance issues, and fixing bugs just speaks wonders of whats to come to making an already awesome mod even better. I recommend this mod to all fans of the Red Alert games.

A very fun mod that broadens the spectrum of tactical maneuvers by adding a large amount of new units, tech, and expanding on the factions in the original game.
Mental Omega APYR expands RA2 YR further with new features, factions, units and buildings, campaign missions and many more, which really stands for its name: Almost Perfect Yuri's Revenge.
The campaign is a bit more difficult and challenging than the vanilla RA2, but is still manageable. So does the skirmish AI, which I felt is well-balanced between difficulty settings for casual players since version 3.3.
Overall, Mental Omega APYR deserves a perfect 10/10 rating for being the best mod for RA2 YR and an unofficial expansion for the vanilla game as well. Perhaps EA might want to look at Mental Omega APYR for the upcoming remasters of classic C&C games.
