A free unofficial expansion pack for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge, which retells, expands and continues the story of the original game. Enhanced with Ares DLL, Mental Omega strives to bring many new features to the game, including a 133-mission campaign, cooperative and a brand new faction: the Foehn Revolt.

The best is always the best.

Without a doubt one of the most high quality mods for any game in the Command & Conquer franchise that I've ever seen. It goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide an amazing experience all around. Voice acting that sounds extremely well done, graphical assets that feel right at home within the universe- both the one it creates and the one it comes from, music that comes from a variety of sources that blends together amazingly for the sides they were given to. This also doesn't get into how refreshingly challenging the campaign is, and how beautiful all the maps are, or even the co-op and challenge maps. Everything about the mod is outstanding. The only issue real issue is the lack of save/load, but that's an issue with Ares at time of writing, and it's not enough to detract from this review. An absolute must if you're looking for mods to play, in my humble opinion.

Best Mod Ever

I like this mod!
Very difficult and very challenging
One of my favorite part of the task
New campaign soundtrack is also very awesome

Good. I wish it was a bit easier, the campaigns, you know? But **** happens, I guess.
And it's been told that the 3.3 version will have an ACTUAL "Easy" difficulty.

Look, there is a reason this is called the (almost perfect, almost official) expansion pack. Its all so well done. A well crafted storyline, well-designed and expanded factions with subfactions and a campaign for Yuri (Now Epsilon) and three well designed subfactions for the Allies (America, Euro-Alliance and Pacific Front) and the Soviets (Latin Confederation, Russia and the People's Republic of China).

On top of all this, they're gonna have a second Act covering the Psychic Dominator War (rewritten of course) and an entirely new faction, the Foehn Revolt, who (as of the 8/12/15) are of mysterious origin.

Either way, a great mod with so much potential, and worthy of the title of an official expansion pack.

Mental Omega is like Red Alert 3 in the the late 20th century when Japan joined the Allies, when I realized they were nine subfactions today. I wish there is an act two and a 4.0 soon.

Pushing the limits of 90s tech, in terms of gameplay can go toe-to-toe with newer games (though admittedly that's just saying how low RTS gaming has come to by now)
