Originally a project to improve the base game, the Eranthis Project now hosts the Redux Mod, a recreated version of Dawn of War Soulstorm to include improved textures, models, maps, skyboxes, icons, ui, sounds and more! For the gameplay, Redux also provides a new armour system with larger armies, bigger maps and eventually some newer units. Be on the look out for any patches or updates.

Being solo developed by Eranthis, with minor help from other members such as Miros and Cneus.

The best Dawn of War mod, criminally underrated.

Hello!
Still playing your mod. As always, its really awesome in all aspects.
Its like the remaster of dow game.

Also a question
Will you plan Winter Assault campaign adaptation in future versions?
Maybe just the imperial guard line?)

Thanks anyway
And best wishes with your project

Hi, the mod looks great!

Does it works with the vanilla campaign?

Not the soulstorm campaign, no.

I see that both Space Marines and Chaos Predator tanks, with twin-linked Lascannons don't deal much of damage to each other. Something around 79 Damage, if I remember correctly. In 1v1, both tanks take a very long time until one of them wins.

I would expect twin-linked Lascannons as dedicated AT would deal more damage and allow for quicker defeat of enemy armor. So what is approach here, would attacking from the side do more damage?

For raw numbers, the Space Marine Predator's Lascannons would deal an average of 77 to standard vehicle armour and 118 with the Predator Twin Lascannon, while the Chaos Predator's Lascannons deal 84 and 135 respectively. That said, Redux doesn't follow the same class-countering mechanics that vanilla DoW has and works off a gradual scale of effectiveness based on weapon AP and Strength.

Vehicles themselves are meant to be pretty tough as they sport high Armour and Toughness. They're generally more expensive and cost more support cap to field and when they are heavily damaged, will lose accuracy and speed, so even though they're hard to destroy, they're fairly easy to whittle down to a point of ineffectiveness (with the right weapons).

Redux also balances things out with regards to stats. Predator Lascannons might not deal a lot of damage to vehicles specifically, but their durability means they can get more shots over time to become a consistent threat. A Devastator's Multi-Meltas deal WAY more damage to vehicles despite being utilized by weaker units. Marines themselves actually don't deal a tremendous amount of damage compared to other races because all of their units have relatively high health and high armour, while Chaos deal more damage than Marines but have less health.

Hope that puts things into perspective.

Campaign artifacts are suppose to carry over to each consecutive mission. Every mission completed saves artifact data to your profile so the game remembers what you acquired prior, but that means that if you select a random mission in the campaign after a full run that isn't mission 1, you'll have all the same items as before. Starting on mission 1 afterwards will be like playing on a new slate.
