This is a submod for Between Empires that seeks to add East Asia in the early 20th century to Warband. With several time periods to start from, including the Warlord Era and Second Sino-Japanese War, Between Republics will cover a particularly tumultuous time in the region's history and introduce a plethora of factions and units with widely differing playstyles and rosters.

Taverns have been replaced by 'common areas' to improve immersion; now, mercenaries, ideologues, refugees and all manner of people will gather at common areas where you can find them regardless of your social status.
