I don't suppose you have the JkEdit 3.24 files, by chance? I would really like to get into making levels, but apparently the program is lost. At least I have difficulty finding it.

hey everyone, im working on a mod for avp 2 and im interested in changing the word "marine" to something else on the single player menu (where the 3 species are selectable). So far, all i know is that the file i need to alter is CRES.DLL. I have tried to alter it using a hex editor but it always screws up when i go to save it in the rez file. I am a novice at this aspect of modding but i know it can be done since i saw the "Hostile Appetite" mod is able to change the words "Custom Levels" in the single player menu to say "Hostile Appetite" instead. Can anyone tell me how to do this please? I really wanted to change the word Marine to my name. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Nevermind, I got it.
I'm pretty sure you do that by editing the source code included in the sdk. It needs to then be recompiled.

Hello, is it really impossible to install plugins for Maya? To work with models from FEAR, I found havok some content tools on the Internet, but the editor still gives an error.
If you have a "cannot find file xxx.mel for source statement" problem while installing plugins for Maya 6.0.1 - check if you installed the script in the "Your Documents" folder rather than Maya's install folder.
