💥 BREAKING NEWS: Thunes announces agreement to acquire Tilia LLC Tilia is an all-in-one payments platform licensed in 48 U.S. states. The company, based in San Francisco, offers payment solutions (acceptance and pay-outs) for games, virtual worlds, creator economies and in-app purchases. Subject to regulatory approval and upon the transaction closing, Thunes' bespoke global network to accept and pay in real-time will become available to U.S. merchants. Using Tilia's technology, Thunes will be able to offer Visa, MasterCard, American Express and UnionPay acceptance to Thunes' customers. Also, Thunes and Linden Lab, the current majority owner of Tilia, have agreed to an exclusive five-year partnership in which Thunes will provide payment processing and pay-outs to Linden Lab, leveraging Thunes' global network. Floris de Kort, CEO of Thunes, believes the acquisition demonstrates our considerable ambition in the U.S. He says it "will allow us to leverage Tilia's licenses and payment capabilities to provide merchants with direct money movement solutions in and out of the U.S." Bradford Oberwager, CEO of Linden Lab, says, "Thunes is an exceptional company that directly connects nearly every payment method and market worldwide. The combination of Tilia and Thunes will give Linden Lab’s customers more payment choice, and the ability to receive pay-outs in real time, anywhere, into the wallet or bank account of their choice." Gray Area presents "They Sustain Us", the world premiere of a new, multimedia performance artwork by Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) artist, Skawennati. Spanning both physical and digital realities, "They Sustain Us" is a three-channel machinima music video installation, fashion-art collection, and runway performance. Built and filmed in the virtual world Second Life, and expanded into the physical world as garments and a runway performance, They Sustain Us tells the untraditional story of Three Sisters: Squash, Beans, and Corn—mythic figures from time immemorial reimagined as futuristic superheroes. Come sit front row with us: wear your very best cybernetic chic and hyperspace haute attire!
