From the earliest PadMaps came the mod PadWorld, followed by the next colourful evolution, the World of Padman. Developed and headed by cartoonist and illustrator ENTE, PadWorld Entertainment presents a free ware fun shooter for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, that’s powered by an extended id-Tech3 graphics engine based on the source of ioquake3.
WoP is the domain of ENTE’s comic strip super-hero Padman and his motley crew. It’s their mission to make your game with some seriously addictive fun, whatever your skill level and whatever character role you jump into.
Over the years maps have been revamped, bots improved, killer ducks kept hungry, weapons re-polished and much more, such as new sounds, skins, secrets, effects, and powerups! In all, there are 24 maps. Each supports up to 7 game modes, comprising WoP’s unique Spray Your Color, Last Pad Standing, Big Balloon and of course Capture The Lolly, as well as those old favourite Free For All. Meet scaled-up and richly detailed maps of everyday places where imaginative characters go berserk with an array of colorful plastic weaponry and power-ups. Start rockin’ to the soundtrack of Dieselkopf and Neurological soundtrack and the Pad-Anthem, performed by Green Sun. So grab your earphones.

It’s hard to believe, but 20 years ago today World of PADMAN was born as a modification for Quake 3 Arena, Happy Birthday! After two and a half years of hard development work, the first beta version was released on June 18th, 2004. It contained 11 maps, six player models with a total of 14 different skins, nine weapons, seven power-ups and the game modes Spray Your Color, Big Balloon and Last Pad Standing. World of PADMAN was subsequently voted Mod of the Week on planetquake.com and was published in international PC games magazines, sometimes with accompanying articles, as well as on DVD.
The development team was already facing big challenges at that time, and it is only thanks to ENTE and a hard core that the development did not die like other mod projects at that time. Without this commitment and passion, World of PADMAN would not exist as an independent game today. If you want to experience the PadMod again and play it together, you are welcome to do so on Hectic’s server “PadMod | 20th Anniversary”. Instructions on how to get the PadMod running on modern systems can be found on our website. There you will also find a small patch that should make your life easier.

I keep on getting a Error:
Couldn't load default.cfg. See "/Users/***********/Library/Application Support/WorldOfPadman/wop/crashlog.txt" for details.
By the way I use a MAC OSX
Are you using the full version of the game? wop-1.5.x-to-1.6-patch-unified.zip is just a patch which needs to be applied to the wop-1.5.1-full.dmg
Unfortunately I can't give you instructions on how to do that, since I don't have a Mac.

PARENTS BEWARE!
My son played this game religeiously. It inspired him to join the Navy where he met Bob and Ralph. I blame this game for turning my son gay. If it was not for this game, he would have never concitered joining the millitary... He hated guns, and first person shooters.
