Somewhat Damaged Walkthrough
This is the walkthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty's Somewhat Damaged, the thirteenth mission in the expansion if you choose to Tap to Reveal in Firestarter.
Somewhat Damaged Walkthrough
Songbird ran through a wall with the stolen MaxTax transport truck. Investigate the area and go inside to find her.
The truck has gone down the building, but the only sign of So Mi is the Blackwall AI residue she left in her wake. Keep moving down the basement until you reach a shut door.
- You can open this door with a Level 20 in Body or use the exit shaft next to the fallen truck.
- Open the following door to gain access to the sealed-off area.
Keep following the Blackwall traces until you're prompted to talk to Johnny. Jump down the shaft, get out of the water, and find the Militech terminal Reed told you about.
After jacking in the terminal, Songbird will sever your connection with Reed; following more Blackwall traces will lead you to an elevator—use it to go down to the restricted floor.
At this point, Songbird will also disconnect you from Johnny, so you'll have to confront her alone. Keep moving down the tunnel and use the door to your right to find a way around the destroyed gate.
While following her silhouette, she'll shut the entrance to the Cynosure core terminal. Head back to the middle of the corridor and scan the facility map.
- You'll need access to the Alpha and Bravo server room to open the gate. Turn around, open the shutter door, and use the data terminal.
Use your personal link to override the terminal, then jump down the shaft below you to get to data terminal Bravo. When trying to access the second data terminal, Songbird will attack you with the Blackwall and deny you access.
- Scan the device behind the terminal, crawl underneath it, and detach the cable.
After disabling data terminal Bravo, an AI-dispatched robot will come after you. Run inside the room where you initially saw Songbird talking to Kurt Hansen.
You'll need to find data terminals Victor and Sierra before you can open the sealed gate. Keep moving until you find yourself in the engineers' living quarters and take the facility map on one of the beds—this will update your original map to show you where the other two data terminals are.
Get to the room marked Engineering to access data terminal Sierra, and be wary as the Cerberus robot will continually come for you.
- If Songbird tells you to hide during the overriding process, jack out your link and hide. Otherwise, the robot will burst open the door and kill you instantly.
- The door to the maintenance room is locked, though you can override the fusebox to open it if you have Level 20 in Technical Ability. If you don't, you'll need to access data terminal Victor from the other side through the main corridor.
- Be sure to grab the Erebus iconic submachine gun schematic on one of the tables.
Find the ladder inside the room to gain access to the ceiling vent. Be careful, as the robot will still roam the vent, but there's a little side chamber you can use to hide from it safely.
- Using the vent will not require you to override data terminal Victor so that you can get to the other side of the gate.
Once you're on the other side, start running as fast as you can, as the Cerebus will chase you. Open the door to the airlock by interacting with the intercom to the side and then close it from the other side.
Shutting Down The Core
Follow Songbird's trail deeper into the facility until you reach the Core Control Room. Initiate the core shutdown procedure and find the three rooms. All three rooms are explicitly named, so enter the ones you run into first.
Inside the Neural Network System, scan the cables on the floor and plug out all three mainframes.
When you reach the Datafort Central Command room, scan the main computer and destroy all six firewall devices to disable the subsystem before the Cerberus robot ambushes you.
- Use any corners to hide yourself and buy some time from the Cerberus. Though you might instinctively close doors behind you, leave them open as trying to open a door will initiate the AI to close, forcing you to open it using brute force.
The Thermic room should be the last of the three rooms. Use the corner entrance to the vent to hide yourself from the robot before accessing the terminal.
- The Blackwall will shut off any access to the terminal, so you'll have to open the shutters and override the system through the fusebox outside.
Hide from the Robot
After disabling all three systems, you'll have to return to the core control room, but on your way, the robot will be searching the area.
- Try to always be behind it and crouch walk to avoid as much of its line of sight as possible.
- Don't attempt to run to the door, as the Cerberus can almost instantly cover the distance between you.
- Beeline for the spot below and hide behind the pillar until the AI comms say, "No contact established." Then, you should be able to open the door back to the core control room safely.
Use the computer to complete the shutdown procedure, and as the Cerberus attempts to kill you, you're pulled into So Mi's old memories in her Brooklyn apartment.
Keep interacting with Songbird until you are back in the control room. Find So Mi inside the core and make your choice.
Help Songbird Die or Return Her to the FIA
Songbird will tell you that the Blackwall has gotten control of most of her being, and she would like you to end her misery, as this is her last chance to die being herself.
Choice | Outcome |
---|---|
Kill So Mi | OK. I'll do it. | You'll honor her choice to die, preventing her from becoming a slave to the Blackwall and the FIA. |
That's not a solution! | So Mi will tell you the truth about her condition, to which you can respond with "Won't do it." This will trigger the King of Pentacles ending path. |
What if I refuse? | She will explain what will happen to her if you choose to let the FIA have her "alive." |
- Honoring Songbird's wish to die will unlock the King of Cups ending path.
