really liked it
bookshelves: english, classic

And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all.

I enjoy Edgar Allan Poe so much; however, I still did not manage to get through all of his short stories, but I'll be definitely working on correcting that oversight.

This one was short, straight to the point. It won't go between my favourite Poe's short stories but yet, it was rather chilling.

With such precautions the courtiers might bid defiance to contagion. The external world could take care of itself. In the meantime it was folly to grieve, or to think.

Thank you so much! And thank you for your kind thoughts. 🥰 Yes, we are hopefully safe. The government came with a lot of restrictions. You can basically go to work, home and just shop for necessities. Most places are currently closed and you're asked to wear face masks in public transport and shops.

Unfortunately, it was a spring break recently and a lot of people went to North Italy when they started to have the outbreak and they brought it here.

I hope you are alright as well! Take care. 🥰

Oh snap I sorry to hear about restrictions, but you don't need it to be as bad as North Italy!

School & dining in restaurants closed... Alot mall here are closed or should be soon... of course the worse places are going to get your grocery, cuz people are hoarding

Another than that our family is in self quarantine

Tani I haven't read Edgar Allan Poe. Seems like I've been missing a lot of things in my life.

Totally, I will take any restriction if it will help to stop it from spreading. My heart breaks for Italy.

Yeah, some people are going crazy here as well but those who wanted to hoard most likely did and now it's a bit quieter.

I loved Edgar Allan Poe since High school. Especially his poems. 😍

HBalikov Agreed. This is one of Poe's best. Neil Gaiman just chose it to read to a group in New Zealand.
