Diablo 4 makes a comeback with its next, 4th season subtitled Loot Reborn. A step in the right direction might be a fruit of the Public Test Realm that was introduced before the expansion for players to check out novelties on their own. As the name suggests, the update focuses on itemisation overhaul, yet it’s only one big point of a huge list of changes to the game. However, not only alterations have been made, but new content found its way to this season, too. Iron Wolves, a group of mercenaries known also from Diablo 2, are in the heart of this update. To gain their trust, though, we will have to prove ourselves by completing The Wooden Wolf quest. Here you will learn how to do it.

How to farm Wolf’s Honor in D4

With the Iron Wolves coming back in Season 4 of Diablo 4, the main questline focuses on them. In The Wooden Wolf you will be tasked with investigating the murders of the mercenaries. Before doing that, however, you will have to prove yourself worthy by achieving Wolf’s Honor Rank 1 with said faction. This will require some farming, so let’s get into it.

The purpose of this quest is to introduce players to the new reward board and teach them how to progress with it. As of now, it has 18 tiers with seasonal rewards. To advance tiers of the board, Wolf’s Honor is required. The fastest way to get it is by opening Mystery Chests during Helltides which costs 100 Aberrant Cinders.

It is worth noting that killing powerful Helltide enemies also grants Wolf’s Honor. Hellbornes are worth 35, while regular elites between 5 - 10.

Completing The Wooden Wolf quest in Diablo 4

  1. Farm Wolf’s Honor to get you to Rank 1 with the Iron Wolves. That will allow you to get back to Soudeh the Anvil.
  2. After speaking with her and gaining group’s trust, you will be tasked with tracking down the missing caravan. You can find it northeast of Ked Bardu.
  3. There, you will have to dispose of a pack of cultists.
  4. With that out of the way, interact with items in vicinity of the destroyed convoy to learn more about what happened.
  5. Next, you will have to look for cultists hideout that happens to be just nearby of the Iron Wolves missing caravan. Jump down, through the hole.
  6. In the Cultist Den, defeat the present adversaries and interact with items scattered around the ritual site.
  7. Completing the previous objective will allow you to get back to Soudeh and report what happened, ending The Wooden Wolf quest.

Hopefully, armed with the knowledge of how the season’s mechanics work, you will be able to make easy work of The Wooden Wolf’s quest. Good luck on your journey!
