DESTINY 2 IN A NUTSHELL

  1. Developer: Bungie
  2. Publisher: Activision Blizzard
  3. Platforms: PC, XOne, PS4, XSX, PS5
  4. Release date: September 2017

Destiny 2 is a free-to-play looter shooter, but what you get without spending money here should be considered a demo. The game can suffice for long hours of quality fun, but sooner or later, it would be nice to be able to expand the base with paid add-ons – if, of course, you like the game. Here, however, we will consider only what is available for free.

At the beginning, you need to create a character by choosing a race (mostly irrelevant to gameplay) and a class. After many years of development, the authors managed to perfectly balance the individual professions, at least when it comes to PvE mode. The selection should be based on personal preferences rather than the power of specific professions. Once a hero is created, you can start the campaign, which is largely a tutorial. After playing the story that introduces you to the game world, it's worth getting acquainted with several other fun modes.

"The vanguard" allows you to participate in missions in which several players cooperate with each other. You can repeat them and choose the level of difficulty – the higher it is, the better the rewards are. "The Crucible" is a PvP mode, which means clashes with other players. There's also Gambit. Each of the two teams tries to collect 100 motes that drop from the opponents within it, and then a battle with the boss begins. You can also try your hand at raids and dungeons for free, but in their case the content is very limited. There are also many other, minor activities in the game. In short, even without paid expansions, there is something to do here.
