Windows 8 Start Screen

For the first run, the screen might be blank. You can configure the tiles if you move your mouse to the right edge of the screen, then the black sidebar will appear, settings button is on it.

To configure individual tiles, you need to hover your mouse over the tile and find the little tool in the right top corner, click on it and you'll see your options.
