Różowy neon z napisem "Jolene" nieomylnie wskazuje drogę do tego najbardziej w tej chwili "in" baru w Kopenhadze. Jolene to hołd złożony Dolly Parton, która śpiewała swego czasu piosenkę o tym tytule. Muzyki country jednak tu nie uświadczysz, czeka cię za to noc przy mocnych, agresywnych bitach granych przez najlepszych na tutejszej scenie didżejów. Nad barem widnieje napis: "This is not a fucking cocktail bar", jeżeli zatem wpadłeś tu na kieliszek kir royale, to z bólem musimy cię poinformować, że trafiłeś pod wyjątkowo niewłaściwy adres. Obowiązkowym elementem wystroju w tej okolicy są białe kafle. Nie mogło ich zabraknąć i tutaj. Zawieszono na nich złocone lustra. Główna sala umeblowana została rozpadającymi się fotelami i kanapami oraz udekorowana choinkowymi światełkami i kolorowymi girlandami. Ściany ukrytych w głębi lokalumniejszych pomieszczeń pokryto natomiast tapetami. Bar prowadzony jest przez dwie dziewczyny z Islandii: Dorę i - dla ułatwienia - Dorę.

The pink neon sign with the words "Jolene" infallibly points the way to the most "in" bar in Copenhagen as of late. Jolene is a tribute to Dolly Parton, who wrote and performed the song of the same title. But country music is nowhere to be heard. Instead, get ready for a night of strong, aggressive beats played by the best local DJs. The sign at the bar blatantly states, "This is not a fucking cocktail bar," so if you feel like a glass of Kir Royale, we are sorry to inform you that you got the wrong address. White tiles are a compulsory design element in this part of town. Here, they are used as the backdrop for gilded mirrors. The main hall is furnished using dilapidated sofas and armchairs and decorated with Christmas tree lights and colourful garlands. The walls of the smaller, inner rooms are covered with wallpaper. The bar is operated by two girls from Iceland: Dora and - just to make it easier for you - Dora.

Jeżeli w czasie swojego pobytu w Kopenhadze miałbyś zjeść tylko jeden posiłek, to zrób to dobrze i zjedz go w Fiskebaren. To kwintesencja tego, co w duńskiej kuchni najlepsze. Pierwszorzędne, zdrowo i z wielkim polotem przygotowane dania serwowane są w otoczeniu wysmakowanego designu. Restauracja mieści się na terenie rzeźni i magazynów z mięsem. Paradoksalnie nie preferuje się tu jednak mięsa, tylko ryby i skorupiaki. Wybór jest niewielki, ale za to wyjątkowo trafiony. Prawdziwą wizytówką lokalu są ostrygi z Limfjorden w północnej Jutlandii. Poza tym w karcie znajdziecie dużo gotowych do spożycia okazów z Morza Północnego. Jak już napisaliśmy, Fiskebaren mieści się w byłym magazynie mięsa, o czym najlepiej zaświadczą ciągle tkwiące w pantynowymsuficie haki, białe kafle i betonowa podłoga. W tej dużej przestrzeni ustawiono kilka najzwyklejszych stolików i krzeseł, zbudowano duży bar, częściowo wykorzystując do tego starą klepkę podłogową połączoną z betonem i kaflami. Dodatkowe ubarwiające wnętrze elementy to stare drzwi zastosowane jako ścianki działowe i rzeźniczy stół. Ale największym zaskoczeniem są akwaria - zbiorniki w kształcie cylindrów zamieszkane przez meduzy. Czujemy się w obowiązku ostrzec was przy okazji, że po spożyciu nadmiernej ilości alkoholu do łazienki powinniście udać się z osobą towarzyszącą, w przeciwnym razie istnieje du�e ryzyko, że już nigdy z niej nie wrócicie. A to wszystko przez "gabinet luster", jaki stoi na drodze do tego ustronnego miejsca. Przekonaliśmy się na własnej skórze, że już z wejściem jest mały problem, a wyjście i odnalezienie drzwi to prawdziwy dramat!

If during your stay in Copenhagen you could only eat a single meal, go to Fiskebaren. This is the essence of Danish cuisine at its best. The firstclass, healthy and extravagant dishes are served inside stylish surroundings. The restaurant is located on the premises of a slaughterhouse and among meatpacking plants. Paradoxically, meat is not their ingredient of choice, but rather fish and shellfish. The selection is small, but superb. The signature dish is oysters from the Limfjord in northern Jutland. In addition, the menu also offers quite a few ready-to-eat items from the North Sea. As we mentioned, Fiskebaren is located in a former meat warehouse, testament to which are the ceiling hooks, white tiles and concrete floor. This large area includes several ordinary tables and chairs and a large bar, built by partially making use of the old floor panels combined with concrete and tiles. The additional decor comes in the shape of old doors which serve as wall panels, and a butcher's table. However, the most surprising elements are the aquariums - cylinder-shaped tanks populated by jellyfish. We feel obliged to warn you that when heading for the bathroom after a couple of drinks, have someone accompany you - or you may never return to your table. All because of a "hall of mirrors" standing between you and the secluded toilet. We learned the hard way: getting in is a problem in itself, while finding the door and getting out is another challenge altogether!
