The main therapeutical procedure is surgery, with intraoral approach for sublingual and submental cysts and external approach for cysts localized between
mylohyoid muscles and skin [1, 2, 8].
A transverse incision is made over the swelling parallel to the mandible, where the intraoperative findings was that of superficial cystic swelling with few loculi over the muscle layer of the
mylohyoid and the anterior belly of the digastric with few finger-like extensions between the muscle planes.
Especially in edentulous areas the tongue can get enlarged and contraction of
mylohyoid muscles raises the floor of mouth; resulting in dislodgement of a denture.
CN V provides motor innervation to the muscles of mastication (medial and lateral pterygoid, masseter, and temporalis muscles), the
mylohyoid, the anterior belly of the digastric, the tensor veli palatini, and the tensor tympani muscles.
The Wharton's duct is longer, has a larger caliber, and is angulated against gravity as it courses around the posterior aspect of the
mylohyoid muscle, all of which results in a slower salivary flow rate.
After an extraoral skin incision platysma muscle was passed and blunt dissection was performed under the
mylohyoid muscle to remove the mass (Figure-2).
The EMG activity of the
mylohyoid Muscle has showed that observation of food grasping produced activation of the
mylohyoid muscle in healthy individuals but not in ASD-affected individuals which imply that the observation of an action done by another individual intruded into the motor system of a typically developing observer was lacking in children with ASD.
The sublingual space (SLS), referred to as the floor of mouth, is the space located below the tongue and confined by the
mylohyoid muscle and hyoid bone (Figure 15A).
The second and third mandibular molar teeth are important sources of DNIs, because their roots extend to the junction of the
mylohyoid muscle with the mandibular corpus adjacent to the submandibular and parapharyngeal spaces, making the submandibular space the most commonly involved area in DNIs (5,7).

mylohyoid muscle.
It revealed an expansile destructive lesion measuring about 4.4 * 6.3 mm is noted in right side of mandibular bone with extension to right side hypoglossus and
mylohyoid muscles as well as outer subcutaneous fat and skin and right buccinators and master spaces.
