For aluminum bonded joints a glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane--epoxy silane (Silqeust A-187 Silane, Momentive Company, USA), was used as a primer to chemically modify the aluminum adherends.

Because physical and elastomechanical properties of the adherend are changed by wood modification, it is hypothesized that surface processing causes differentiating surface textures.

The numerical simulation of bonded assembly in three-dimensional is known delicate for reasons related to the mesh at the interface between adhesive and adherend plats, especially when dealing an elastic-plastic material of adhesive and the substrates.
However, the adhesion between the adhesive and the backing is still important in that a low level of adhesion at this locale would result in transfer of the adhesive from the backing to the adherend.
Therefore, the information above illustrates the different patterns between PRF- and PU- bonded wood samples in terms of wood failure: PU adhesive may result in more cohesion or adhesive-adherend failure, whereas PRF adhesive results in more adherend failure or wood failure.
