Having a complete lack of emotion, empathy, or remorse. This was no crime of passion. He's a cold-hearted killer, pure and simple. The company's cold-hearted owners are laying off nearly 1,200 workers without pensions, severance, or pay for the previous month's work. A: "It was a hit-and-run." B: "Who would hit someone and just leave them in the street to die? That's cold-hearted, man."
