Bitdefender

Security software from Romania-based Bitdefender. Introduced in 2001 and available for Windows, Mac and Android, Bitdefender is known for its fast antivirus scanning and minimal impact on performance. Firewall, parental control, antispam, online storage, device antitheft and encryption are features of its premium suites. The Android version also includes background activity monitoring, antitheft and safe surfing.

Bitdefender was originally developed by SOFTWIN and sold as AVX (Antivirus Expert) from 1996 until 2001, when its name was changed. In 2007, SOFTWIN spun off Bitdefender. For more information, visit www.bitdefender.com.
