TONY VEZZA goes back to his roots when he travels to Italy to oversee his fast-growing mineral water firm, Suio. The 44-year-old loves to go back to Castleforte, a small town in the hills south of Rome where Emperor Nero once had his baths and where Tony's parents were born.

While the Slashers claimed the Spinnaka Falcons Sevens, the Audi Social Sevens was won by Golden Touch, who beat Durham University, while the Suio Northumberland County Sevens was claimed by Team Northumbria, who defeated Morpeth.

In 1944, Ernie, from Emsworth, Hants, dashed into the middle of the square in Suio to save the child as his mother lay dying.

The Legends game is one of many attractions at the inaugural Newcastle Festival of Rugby, which also plays host to the Spinnaka Falcons Sevens, the Audi Social Sevens and the Suio Northumberland County Sevens.
