Ameenah Mohammad, head of DIFSC's scientific committee, said the seminar was in line with the launch of a strategic plan to develop the Islamic economy sector by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

"The civic body is proud to declare that the DIFSC has become one of the international gathering of food safety professionals in a record time, as it started in 2006 in a small hall with 200 participants and reached to above 1,200 participants in its eighth edition to the extent that the registration committee was forced to close the registration for workshops in a short time after its declaration."
A special seminar on the issues related to halal food will be a highlight at the 8th Dubai International Food Safety Conference (DIFSC) scheduled to be held on November 18 and 19.
Presenting a paper on the 'Present and the Future of Food Outbreak Investigation and Surveillance in Dubai' at the seventh Dubai International Food Safety Conference (DIFSC), Alraeesi said tying up with PulseNet will help Dubai in tracking the most common pathogens' serotype to the source or to the epidemic geographical areas and to take appropriate preventive actions against newly detected serotypes around the world.
