This includes the science of addiction: physiology and pharmacology, co-occuring disorders, treatment and management, community development, and the role of the higher education institutions in the implementation of community-based rehabilitation program.

Co-occuring disorders, such as depression and substance abuse, are common.

This affiliation will provide a continuum of services for each organization's clients with co-occuring disorders and offer a seamless referral and admissions process.

This includes respite, specialized case management, crisis support services and other services usually described in what most view as essential elements of an effective service system for individuals with co-occuring disorders. The services should not be designed to replicate other services under Medicaid, but they can be used quite effectively to enhance and support the existing service delivery system.

A key influence on this work has been programming developed in the United States and studied in a large cross-site study entitled the "Women, Co-occuring Disorders and Violence Study," sponsored by the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration on the system-wide approach taken in thirteen American sites.

In addition to major psychiatric disorders, coverage encompasses co-occuring disorders, sleep disorders, and herbal/holistic treatment possibilities, as well as different age groups.

Under the program, the grades 4 to 12 students will undergo 35 competencies with topics on the science of addiction, physiology and pharmacology, co-occuring disorders, treatment and management, community development, and the role of the higher education institutions on the implementation of the Tabangan Atong Refortmists Aron Naay Asenso (Tara Na) and the sustainability of the Community-Based Recovery Support System (CBRAP).
