In March 2008, Commander, Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT) received preliminary accreditation as a Maritime Headquarters (MHQ) with Maritime Operations Center (MOC).

"COMPACFLT N4's Journey to MOC" seeks to provide insight into what MHQ w/MOC is all about from the logistics perspective.

In September 2008, senior Navy Supply Corps officers and other logisticians from throughout the COMPACFLT area of responsibility (AOR) gathered onboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) in Yokosuka, Japan, to collaborate on building a theater-wide logistics "playbook." Dynamic cross service participation from numerous organizations contributed to honing a COMPACFLT (CPF) Logistics concept of operations (CONOPS).

Commander Pacific Fleet's (COMPACFLT) N41 is titled Fleet Supply and covers a wide range of functions.

Aligned with COMPACFLT N4 through the MHQ with MOC, we reach back under the virtual MOC concept for other logistics service capabilities such as mortuary affairs, medical, and civil engineering.
