Installation:
1- Download the mod from here.
2- Download the translation on this page. Copy that folder (gamedata) to the main mod folder.
3- Launch the mod by clicking "start.cmd"
About:
The story takes place after Call of Pripyat. You'll be playing as Garik (Garry) who's suffering from unexplained headaches and loses consciousness regularly. With the help of some familiar faces, Garik will attempt to not only remember his past and save himself, but also save the lives of other Zone inhabitants from impending doom. A task which can only be completed with the help of a single weapon: The Gauss rifle.

Is there any chance of downloading the actual mod from ModDB, or Google, or some source other than Yandex? The problem I have is that the message in Yandex states Downloads exceeded, must use personal Yandex disc to download.
When I try to create an account much personal info is demanded and then the process fails as I try to enter a phone number, so cannot create an account from my location in U.S.
Suggestions
The mod was standalone and available to simply download and play from this ModDB page before, I had to took it down since after 17 long years of not caring, GSC is preparing to take "legal action" against standalone mods all of a sudden. I can only "legally" share my translation and not much else.
I'm keeping some of the other standalone mod pages that I've translated up for the time being, but if GSC is serious about their demands that means I'm going to have three pages that I have to completely delete. The reason being that the mods in question are created based on the Russian version of the game and require that and only that version. So it's either a standalone repack or nothing, and since the standalone isn't a possibility anymore, they'll sadly have to go to the chopping block.
The mods I'm talking about are listed below, download them now if you want to try them:

- Save and Protect: Killer
Bummer about all that, but it is what it is. Don't risk legal consequences over a bit of temporary entertainment.

I'm regret to say, this mod is poorly made
The worst part is almost every main mission will be disrupted, the quest charactor will always distracted by mutuants and wander around, luckly they won't die and can forced into dialog otherwise the quest cannot be proceed.
The adjustment to weapon position makes many iron sight unalign(worse than vanilla), and the tedieous item using delay makes battle time wasting, not to say a lot of unexpected quest transport dry up your thirst and hunger(then spent half a minute to fill...)
the plot makes no sense either, but that's minor problem
