This JSRS Port completely overhauls all the gunshot sounds with new assets.
New Distant Sounds. New stereo first person sounds. 8 layers of audio for each weapon. Variable sounds for each guns for more variety. New Explosion Sounds.

-New grenade explosion sounds
-New PM(Makarov) Sounds
-New bullet fly-by cracks with a different style (optional, old set is marked "Old")
-New sounds for close/mid range for a bunch of guns (100-200 meters range)
-New metal impact sounds and body/player bullet impact sounds.
-Reduced number of sound files playing per NPC by about 50%. No Change for player, or first person effects. This will resolve issues when there are huge firefights are going on and the framerate will tank. This does mean there is a reduction in variation for gunfire from NPCs, but xray just cannot handle it.
-Adjusted AI detection distances for all gunshots. Generally its 100m for pistol calibers, 150m for 5.56/5.45 200 for 7.62 and 250-300 for snipers. Suppressors reduce detection distance by around 35-50%. Reduced detection distance for NPC fire (Not Player) a lot from what it was before which will hopefully help fix companions running off to attack where they hear distant gunfire.
-Adjusted the bass values and volume of NPC gunshot effects
-Suppressed Weapons are more audible from mid range (100-200 meters) and less audible from further away. (300+)
-Completely re-done the falloff distances for gunfire sounds. I scaled it down and removed a few steps for optimization and to scale it better for stalker's smaller maps. Should be easier to pinpoint gunfire and anything past 150-200m will fade out way faster, but still be audible from pretty much any distance at a low volume.

Hi I have tried my best to research a fix for this but cannot find one. Here is my issue, I have downloaded and installed

The game works perfectly fine without the BASJSRS merge, however when I add the BASJSRS merge to the JSGME launcher the game will no longer launch, this is the error log I get

BAS-JSRS Merge hasn't been updated to work with new version of BAS. Don't think you need BAS-JSRS Merge anymore with the new version of BAS anyway (as per description update on BAS page).
Just install JSRS, and then new BAS on top of that and done.

Any chance the shotguns are gonna get any love in the next update? In my opinion it's awfully boring and unimmersive to have every shotgun making the same exact flat thumpy sound lol.
to be honest i didn't feel in love with any shotgun in this game they all bad They need modified , not just the sound, everything

The SR-3M sounds the same suppressed as it does unsuppressed

Yeah it does, but do yourself a favor and use the old JSRS sound mod, it has a loot sound that will make your earholes cream themselves.

its so sad that this mod is not maintained at all... the stuttering during firefights is crazy, jarhead's mod is basically the same but it does not stutter at all. so many people commented the same thing and nobody fixed it. one dude even made a potato friendly version (which is not good, but kudos for trying) just because of the issues with performance. dude if you just removed 10 layers or something like that, we could all enjoy it. like this, its not for anyone who doesn't have mama/papa bought 2000 eur pc.
I know im super sad too. Mod is famous and amazing but unless you have a ballin PC itll wreck the game. A lower quality version should run better and still sound better than Vanilla im very certain.
A lot of people confirmed playing on a SSD solve this terrible stutter, however.. stutter still keeps happening to me even after I installed Anomaly on my SSD, I managed to fix it by updating my audio drivers.
At least it looked like it finally solved the issue, I still need more time to test. I recommend you do it if you haven't already, even if you play on a HDD.

Someone should pls do a low-end PC version for this! I know there is one called like Discount JSRS but it's another dude and review say not same quality which makes sense :( Just wish i could get a bit better sounds haha

This and Soundscape overhaul as well as Injury Audio Extended are three vital and important sound based addons for true immersion within your Zone experience. 10/10, weapons in Stalker have never sounded better, from any distance direction or angle. So much attention to detail, I have never heard better supersonic, subsonic bullet whizzes and snaps and impacts, as well as the gunshots themselves. Ontop of this it even realistically portrays the sound based on the confines in which the weapon was fired. A downright insane level of firearm audio realism.
When enabling this mod and the cracks + tracers update within the JSGME mod manager I get an error "Already added by Boombsticks and Sharpsticks" is this mod not compatible with B&S or is that normal?
Either this or Aggressor reshade has made Food and Drink animation mod stop working?! Anyone know why

You can try the newest version, it may help your problem, but I haven't had anyone test it with a low end pc.
Try this. I removed a ton of sound files that are played for maximum performance, it wont sound quite as good, but it should work much better for you: Drive.google.com

Okay, okay, thanks for understanding. Now that i'm fully focused I noticed Blindxside needs to update his patch to accommodate your recent changes, as so I cant fully test this addon in my main save, but I'll try to revert to vanilla, make a new save and spawn some stalkers to make a really nasty gunfight (Thanks MO2). Well, if I have the time, I'll come back with the results

Yeah I know, there aren't a lot of unique sound assets for shotguns from the original mod I pulled from. I didn't want to take stuff from other games/mods because it would sound so much different to everything else. Sorry :(

For the guys who dont work with BaS, maybe you need to install the BaS first and after the JSRS Sound Mod, in the BaS post they said that...
how do you adjust distant sounds of mutants to be heard from further away? I want to here lurkers howling in the night without being close enough for them to be right on me.
Look up Soundscape Overhaul, its another mod I made that deals with stuff like that. this one changes gun sounds.

After I added the main folder into my JSGME and installed it into anomaly I ended up not hearing any gun sounds at all. Can someone help me fix this?

it's working with the BaS, no file conflicts. playing with it 1 or 2 month right now, just simple use the mod organizer, and everything will be okay

Is it possible, to merge the sounds fro BaS and JSRS and let all the guns use the JSRS sounds? Some of the sounds from the guns that were added with Nov 29th BaS updates are very weak..

Currently not possible, what I wish is to be able to only play super-sonic cracks if the bullet is actually super-sonic but its all or nothing without engine changes.
