Hi all! Be carefully! If you have old config in "upgrades" folder you will get crashes like :
Description : Can't open wave file:
Arguments : e:/stalker anomaly\gamedata\sounds\wpn_556_1_snd_silenced.ogg
....and other.

The new version has new file names ...ogg
Example: The "wpn_556_1_snd_silenced.ogg" in old version now "wpn_556_snd_silenced.ogg". You must change config file if you have it.

Thank you for your efforts, am giving this a try. I've read your readme, it appears it only replaces gunshot sounds, so is it compatible with other non-weapon sound replacers, such as gasmask sound, or draw knife sound mod? I ask because it isn't just 'gamedata' file replacers.

IMHO the 'brush against shrubs' sound to be really annoying, if you know what sound file that is please let me know.

Should be fully compatible with those mods.
That bush sound is something I'm currently working on. It's gonna be a part of my Soundscape Overhaul mod version 2.5

Make sure you have update 3 for beta 1.5. I believe that is what causes this crash.

It's an issue with the vanilla game. Next big anomaly update is supposed to fix it I think.

Why the hell they`re so damn quiet and... 2D? Nothing like ones in a video. :(
I`ve got both of the packages in mods folder (addon folder just doesn`t work fo some reason). And that ini file replaced as well.

Some people have reported the mod being very quiet for them, not sure whats causing it :( Try the "Sound Problem Workaround" in the anomaly launcher and see if it helps

Hello !

I used before the jarhead version but it is also excellent.
But I do not understand the usefulness of the file "Alsoft" because with your sound seems less than with the "Alsoft" original ...
What is it used for ?

It changes the AL Soft audio codec to one that is supposed to work better with directional audio. For me it sounds clearer, and most people seem to have positive results, but if it causes issues, definitely keep the original.

Ok, I will try again but I have the impression that the sounds are more "muffled" than with the original alsoft.
After my point of view, it would also slightly increase the intensity of the firing detonations, without it exploding the ears of course but a little stronger because in reality (doing myself shooting).

Anyone having the flat or quiet sounds issue with this mod, there's two things to try fixing it:

* Disable any 3D sound enhancements like Windows Sonic for Headphones, if used.
* Check your sound system's sample rate. If it is 44100 Hz, your system should be compatible with the alsoft settings from this mod.

If it is not 44100Hz, you can open the alsoft file inside "bin" of your Anomaly folder, and change two lines to the sample rate of your system (make a copy first, as a backup in case of a mistake):

"frequency=44100" (use only numbers here, do not add "hz")
and
"default-hrtf=Built-In 44100hz"
Close and save changes after editing.

Report back if either or both options above fixes the issue.

Dude..... what did you do to the VSS Vintorez? lol. Thing already sounded super-sonic when it shouldn't, and now it sounds unsuppressed all together! Listen to it, it's SUPER quiet. Can you take the environmental reflection down a ton? Great work otherwise! Youtube.com

Hey, how does this affect stealth? Does it make it more likely to be detected if shooting with a suppressor due to how the AI works?

You have older(?) version of Base.ltx file

I guess re-download file or go in base.ltx and remove that grenade launchers section because it is in different file now.

There is no grenade launcher section in base.ltx

The problem is only with the Cracks and impacts, as the base.ltx is ****** up a lil bit.

For me, this mod is worth using purely for the open container/loot corpse sound. The original sound was getting on my nerves big time.

The gun sounds, especially distant skirmishing, sounds too tinny for my liking. Sounds like some kids let off a bunch of small firecrackers nearby. And there is not enough variance in those distant shots to even distinguish what is being used.

This could be more realistic for all I know, as I have no experience with RL guns. Still I prefer the fuller/deeper gun sounds of the original files.

Great work though on the loot sound. I adore the light rustling sound. It's perfect! Thank you for sharing this.

I see you stopped support for this mod but I had a question as to how to increase the sound level of the emissions. The deep bass sounds were reduced in Anomaly from the ear-ripping Misery counterpart, I just love the way the emissions sound.

Any file, anything I can do to increase that specific sound?

Hi there !
Why does it contain all the weapon upgrade files ? Are they necessary ?
It's stopping me from using it, as I don't really want to merge dozen of files.. =(
Even if I would want, all files differt so much I wouldn't even be able to ^^

They contain the updated suppressor sound names. You can overwrite them but the suppressor sounds for those guns will be the original ones.

Latest version has no suppressed P99 sound. It's not in the upgrade file. I fixed it myself by adding the sound line under the silencer name line.

Also VSK-94 is WAY too loud for a 9x39. It seems to be mostly the weapon tail sounds for it. The thing is louder than the suppressed AK12.

Oh man, let me know if you can fix them, this **** is driving me crazy. The 9x39 guns are louder than suppressed guns! I'm not sure why, but it sounds like Solarint cranked the reverb tails waaaaay up for them, but in reality, theVAL and VSS are some of the quietest weapons in the world. The action of the gun is practically louder than the shot, they almost sound like a stapler!
