Btw smart terrain files arent corrected to their exact file location so it wont work

Would you mind explaining in more detail, from my understanding the smart terrain is responsible for NPC factions taking over the area and spawning frequencies for the faction. I've seen other factions take over areas.

What I am saying is that you misplaced the level smart terrian files which typically go to gamedata>configs>scripts and not in gamedata>scripts which will never work

Thanks for the info on this.

I moved the smart terrain to gamedata/configs/scripts and allocated the cache to the new directory and I don't see any difference ingame but it causes some severe lag so I deleted the modded smart terrain data and started a new game, crashed within 15mins, tested this 3 times. I have now reverted everything back, started a new game and tested it for over an hour, no crash. I need to do some more testing here as this is baffling.

The reason why you are having severe lag due the smart terrain population being higher and also did you code these smart terrain files yourself?

So the reason it lags is because of the population increase, I didn't really notice anything in regards to this but it does lag, the main priority of Last Count is optimization.

The smart terrain is a mod, I may have edited some of the values but what is strange, if you delete the folders, it crashes the game?

Some good news in that no-one has posted a message with any crashes recently so that's great indeed.

Strange when I delete the smart terrain folder it doesnt crash the game you should look into the logs file to see what it says

Thanks for the reply.

When I deleted the folders it was my GPU that crashed, no error was logged for the game. I wonder if its because I'm on the V3 which should be out soon and I also moved beh_companion to gamedata/configs/scripts that may have caused an issue, I'll do some more testing. Hopefully I can optimize the new smart terrain to fix the lag and on V3.

I guess so, I've never setup a discord page before and I dont use it that much anyway. Also I need to figure out how to secure the page from spam bots. I'll look into it when I have some spare time. Thanks.
