This has got to be one of my all time favorite games, and the intro was just amazing. It might seem a little dated now, but I still like it. Decided to play through the first fear game again, and looked around for some texture mods. There isn't much but Sikkpin, the guy who creates the awesome shader mods for Doom 3, released custom shaders for F.E.A.R 1. It's not too crazy different, just looks better in a subtle way. The shading on people is smoother, the reflections are better, the lighting is smoother etc. His readme says this about the pack. - Lighting: - Gamma-corrected lighting (linear space lighting) - Normalized Blinn-Phong specular model w/ Fresnel - Hemisphere ambient lighting - Shadows: - Improved the look of soft stencil shadows (more samples + jitter + depth-corrected offsets) - Effects: - Chromatic dispersion for all refraction shader

Why this disables Soft Shadows is beyond me.
Old comment. I managed to get it working on a different PC build and the enhanced soft shadows really look great.

This mod fixed the Shadows problem on current Nvidia drivers! :D
