Return to Alpha - the mod which return the players to similar old versions CoD4 (Pre-Alpha). This mod restore unused and cut things which developers not use it in release version. The missions will be provided as planned by the developers, but with some of my improvements, which don't having even in Pre-Alpha Builds.

A little bit about this restoring the level.
This level has been fully recreated from scratch, because we still doesn't have the official map_sources and we still can't rip the map data from console (even via emulator). So, geometry still work in progress. Scripting already done and works perfectly.
A little bit about original level.
This level it was not completed at any stage of development. Level have the cut content as:

- Restored the old USMC Woodland skins;
- Restored old ADS for Mini-Uzi;
- Added the gamepad support. You can try yourself with IW3SP-MOD.
- Added safe area for UI;

- Changed logic with loading the patch.ff file;
- Changed game hints in relation to your input: gamepad or keyboard/mouse;
- The switch fire mode script has been slightly redesigned. Added a slight delay and self script has been optimized.
- Beginning scripting of the levels: village_assault and village_defend.

- Changed the start of the training at Sergeant Newcastle;
- Added 'Stay in the pit!' script;
- Added dialog about aim assist (works with gamepad and if aim assist is enabled);
- Changed some dialogs, now some will depend on your input: gamepad or keyboard/mouse.

It's a very good job you're doing, I've seen some gameplay with this mod (old version) and it felt a little different from the final version of the game, I didn't know that the melee attack in the alpha version was hitting with the weapon, which I liked and it is quite different from the classic knife attack that began to be implemented in the saga starting with this game.
I also noticed that when I edited and implemented new sounds to be able to test if they worked in the game, one of the Russians' voices was unused, I think they forgot to program it so that the game uses it and it was saved in the game, the bad thing From that voice, it has no sounds of death or pain from the actor himself, strange but curious.
I would also like to know if they have discarded some missions from the campaign.

Yeah, 'battlechatter/RU/2' is unused in the game, but sound files is loaded in the game it's strange. This also applies to some Marines battle chatters.
About missions, I don't clean up or cut out any release missions, but with missions which has cut and which will be restored I create the separate tab in 'Select level' menu.
If you want I can help you, since I have the sounds of death, pain and melee charge from the same Russian voice actor, but taken from Black Ops 1 and 2. If you want it, let me know and I'll send it to you. no problem, there are 30 sound files.
Will there be the unreleased\scrapped single player missions in there too?

I'm someone who always plays with a controller and not with a keyboard-mouse. It would be nice if you could add the controller option, like in the real alpha version on Xbox 360.
