In other games like Star Wars Jedi Academy, Team Free For All (TFFA) works that on one map there randomly spawns players of two teams, which are fighting. There are no rounds (or one MEGA round), time limit could be, or couldnt be set. The win condition would be just that one team must gain set number of kills ( Swarmkiller = 5kills, Space_Marine_651 = 8kills, Jed1 M4st3r = 2kills => 15kills for their team )... for example the team must gain 100 kills... it could also means tha round would end up like 100/99...

Counter-Strike is that there are 2 teams on one map. Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists/Special Policemen. In the start of every round on the spawn everyone on both sides can buy what weapons and equipment he have, for money he gains. Than the players fight against the other side, while completing an objective like terrorists placing a bomb in the ammo supplies, policemen to recover hostages etc. During the fight you can pick up ammo lost by your teammates or your enemies, as well as putting the weapons. Every round has a time limit, and in most cases there is a limit for rounds, like 50. One team must win 50 times, but this also means that there could be 99 rounds, with the result 50/49. The conditions to win the round is 1) kill all enemy, 2) complete the objective, 3) when the time expire and 1) and 2) arent finished, the defenders wins.

What did you sad about that "chaos with belt feed"?

Also, should they really have a fists for attack, or everyone will be from the start armed with sword? We must think that it will be for Half-Life 2, so you probably cant have that many weapons at once... also the way how you will play and gain money... if like Counter-Strike or like a Team Free For All game mode, where the weapons are all around the map...

And which heavy bolter? That shoulder-mounted, or the classic which is used now? The current one will require that large backpack and ammo belt...

Meltagun is used by SM? I thought its more used by Sisters of Battle... but yeah, it could be in.

Hmm... as a great fan of WH40K,what do you suggest for the weapons be used in this... mod? I see it as:

1- Fist/Chainsword
2- Bolt Pistol
3- Bolter
4- Sniper Rifle
5- Flamer
6- Heavy Bolter/ Lascannon
7- Plasma Gun
8- Rocket Launcher
9- Frag/Krak Grenade

Or the sniper rifle would be dropped? Or some more weapons?

So they existed :) Good to know... and Chaos Marines also have heavy bolters? I havent read about them much, and in DoW I not much played as them so I dont remember now :)

I see... here is a proof of it. I5.photobucket.com Second weapon from up is heavy bolter. Its quite normal. But now on this image -> I5.photobucket.com Marine on the top right, that large red thing on his shoulder is heavy bolter. But this game is old many years, 10 minimally, so who knows :) Also, it has much less ammunition, but can be used more accurately, maybe even more than standart bolter :)

Can you explain me one thing? I have seen two variants of carrying heavy bolter. One like a MG, standart which you can see in DoW, minifigures and such. But I seen also one varant where it was carried on the sholder like rocket launcher. I seen it in old game Chaos Gate. Do you know about this something?
