It's finally done. My complete review of SOMA:
I haven't been this impressed with a game in some time. What's most impressive is that despite my endless praise for Penumbra and Amnesia: The Dark Descent, SOMA shows significant improvement in every regard. Far more detailed environment, some of the most amazing art design I've ever seen in a game, much more polished, much more character interaction + voiced protagonist, almost every enemy you see in the game is unique with much more voice clips and animation and less predictable AI, much scarier gameplay, mind blowing sound design + the best sound effects I've ever heard in a game, but most importantly a powerful, thought-provoking, and very human story. It's everything that makes the horror genre special.

Great dev and helpful
Hi. I really want to play your mod but unfortunately i cant. I've already installed patch v.10005 and everything but the XR_3DA keeps crashing whenever i try to run the game with the mod. Are there any known fixes?
Check the log file (txt file) in Public Documents\stalker-shoc\logs. What do the last few lines say? It would be easier to PM it to me.
You seem to know your stuff boredgunner read your review on LA. If the bugs don't cause CTDs then I am all in. So how a stable is LA at the moment?
It will have occasional CTDs, though most are avoidable. Head over to the Lost Alpha subsection forum on gsc-game for some fixes. Otherwise, getting bit by rats or ratwolfs will cause CTDs so don't let that happen. Opening the Contacts menu on your PDA can randomly crash the game. There's some random "foot bone" crash caused by... something, but if you just run away from what's causing it then you should be fine.
I have little or no patience for CTD, but I can wait patiently for something I really want. I think I will wait for the next LA update then. Thank you for your quick courteous and helpful reply.
hi, i was trying your mod pack 2013 and the game just crashes upon new game
i'm running 1.0005 on win7 x64 did a fresh intstall of the game but still crashes
my specs:
i7 920
780gtx
12gb ram
nevermind, i just realized i only downloaded the first part of the mod, the 1.8gb part i'm missig :S anyway thanks for your hard work!
Glad you figured it out, not that it matters since Lost Alpha is here now!
