The Metal appreciation society is quite simply put a group where all us metalheads can share our love of different bands. This group is for recommendations, reviews and comments on all things metal! Also if you are in a band and want to introduce your band by adding a track on here then go ahead. PLEASE NO MUSIC THAT IS UNDER COPYRIGHT - I'm just a guy who loves metal and wants to share it with others I don't want to get sued!

Guys I come to you late at night, to share what turned from a random Internet late night discovery, to one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. The band right here "Ripper" is from my country Chile, and I gotta say that after listening to their debut album, I feel like haven't listened to such a good Thrash Metal album in years. Don't let this one be another of those posts you overlook, LISTEN TO THIS **** AND LOVE IT!

Yes I would consider them as a Heavy Metal band. Why? Because they play heavy metal music, it's that simple.

It's called "Nu-metal" & Yeah it is indeed one of Heavy Metal's subgenre's but it's so frowned upon because they took metal and mixed it with rap/hiphop. It was part of the era that started in the 1990s and carried on until the early 2000's.
Nu-Metal = Slipknot, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Disturbed, and one of the better ones Rage Against the Machine.
I'm pretty the early known roots of the sound is stuff like Anthrax when they collabed with Public Enemy. Bring the Noise for ex.
Hope you've learned something!!!

Well of course when it comes to sub-genres, Disturbed earlier in their career was a Nu Metal band. Also people would refer to them as modern metal since they belong to a new sound that was developed around the early 2000's. But at the end what matters is that it's Metal. And as I always say if you like it, listen to it, don't worry about what other people say about the band.

Yeah. Disturbed is my all time favorite band, which is not a popular opinion among my friends who love metal
