Controller support addon for the first Splinter Cell using Xidi, no additional setup required, read bellow for more info:
This is an addon for the first Splinter Cell that adds proper Xinput support via Xidi without any additional setups required, unlike other controller support solutions, this one fixes an issue where Sam would always use his slow walk speed no matter how hard you push the analog stick, requiring you to scroll the mouse wheel all the way up every time you start a new level to make Sam walk and run normally when using the analog, alongise this fix you can also navigate through the menu and inventory by moving the mouse cursor using the left analog stick, with the right trigger (RT) serving as the mouse left click, still not ideal for proper UI navigation but it's the best I could do at the moment. Refer to the Readme file for installation instructions and Manual.txt for the controller mappings.
I also highly suggest installing Thirteenag's Widescreen Fix before you download this:

Hey guys. I downloaded a lot of mods, and also tried configs from Steam. This is the best way to use a controller on PC. Not perfect, but it works
Hi! This is really the greatest mod for controller support for the first Splinter Cell, really nice job! Now the game plays exactly as the console version. I wonder if it is possible to link the quick save and quick load to a combination of buttons, like select + up to quicksave and select + down to quickload. Thanks a lot pal, now I can play one of my favourite game as it was suppposed to be!
If you have steam running in background, you can define custom binds via SteamInput.
You can add bind like "Hold X for 2 seconds, or use two buttons" and this will trigger F5 on keyboard. Options there are limitless.
I'm using this for years to make screenshots via NVidiaShare, while playing on gamepad.
