Garrett, the Master Thief, steps out of the shadows into the City. In this treacherous place, where the Baron’s Watch spreads a rising tide of fear and oppression, his skills are the only things he can trust. Even the most cautious citizens and their best-guarded possessions are not safe from his reach.

As an uprising emerges, Garrett finds himself entangled in growing layers of conflict. Lead by Orion, the voice of the people, the tyrannized citizens will do everything they can to claim back the City from the Baron’s grasp. The revolution is inevitable. If Garrett doesn’t get involved, the streets will run red with blood and the City will tear itself apart.

We have posted our review of the latest addition to the Thief franchise.

Here is a short excerpt of the review

Thief IV Review

Virtual-Dimensions wrote: Garrett, the game’s main protagonist is a master thief with an eye for anything shiny and valuable. Without wanting to give too much away, an “unfortunate” accident gives him a special ability which allows him to see important objects in focus. As we already know from previous games from the Thief franchise, stealth is your best friend in the ever present effort in overcoming challenges. Violence on the other hand is – at best – used as a last resort. Or, in Garrett’s own words; ”thieves and swords do not get along”. Thief was never designed as a fighting/action game.

Head on over to Virtual Dimensions to read the full review and see how it scored.

Thought I would compile a list of tweaks & fixes from multiple sources for this game in an effort to help people get a playable experience, god knows...

It's not that bad, sure it's no classic Thief but not a terrible stealth game either.

The best review out there is the one from Sneaky Bastards (those guys who specialise in reviewing stealth based games) they basically analyse every aspect of the game to explain why its a objectively bad game in the stealth genre (and not just a ****** story which is rather subjective even when you someone says it feels like several stories clumped hastily together): Sneakybastards.net

ooo thief 4 has a focus mode... Look how awesome Thief 2 would've been if only LGS had incorporated a form of Focus! Forums.eidosgames.com
