Hello everyone, it's been a while but we bring you more news on the progress of the development of the game! Let's get into it.
First we bring you our Game Icon. In this first image you will be able to see sketches of ideas we had for it and the final and chosen one.
Here we see, as mentioned above, the sketches and final Game Icon for the game. We started by basing it off of the game's character and then also trying to use the game's initial letters. We ended up thinking that using the game's character would make more sense as it calls the user to what the game is about - our main character and story. Plus, when this icon would be sized down it would still be very understandable and would stand out between the others.
This here is what we wanted for a loading screen. It shows our character, which as mentioned is a mutated human that survived the virus and gained abilities associated with it, allowing him to turn into a sort of slimy substance and morphing his body. We can see him moving across the loading bar while arrows are being shot at him. We thought this was a very unique idea for a loading screen/bar and are very proud to show it.
And finally, in the last DevLog, we showed you our main character but not totally (blurred). Since the beggining of this DevLog we have been showing you bits of him in the Loading Screen and Game Icon and we are now ready to show our game's simple main character.
Our game's main character is very simple and not too detailed. This is also due to our small time frame to develop the game, due to this being an academic project, and also because we only want a simple and short game. This isn't to say that he doens't look interesting at all and we still are proud to show him.
