Hello Everyone.

It's been a while since I posted the last "Rescue Scientists" Mod demo (Youtu.be). You're probably wondering when the demo will be released. I assure you it will be available as soon as I finish the 'On A Rail' chapter, which is nearing completion. However, as you know, the Source Engine can be quite janky.

This mod is being developed entirely in Hammer Editor. All the map logic and scripted sequences are created within Hammer. Since I have zero experience with coding, I don't know how to make NPCs pick up weapons or create a functional squad system.

There are some small bugs with NPCs getting on the trains. If a train makes a fast or sharp turn, it can send the NPC flying, which is both bad and hilarious. To fix this, I had to make the train turn really, but painfully slowly.

No, but you can copy all the maps/materials/models/scripts from OF and put them into your maps folder.

when i compare hl1 and hls i pick hl1.. why? because i can adapt everything i want in hl.. there are LOTS of community made addons and mods + the game itself has faster and more professional gameplay. hls is full of bugs and gameplay quality is pure ****.

Sir, you are wrong. HL1 is the one with the OhMyFricking much bugs. The AI is dumb, almost nothing is readable, and you will get killed most of the time by the evil elevator. In HLS, if you pull a box, it doesn't get flinged away. Plus, HLS has - although still less quality than HL2 - ragdolls. If you take away the addons and HD pack, HLS is better.

Half-Life: Source sucks damn. Uses HL2 Sounds at unmatching situations and is absolutely $$ making.

Buy Half-Life 1, its the complete REAL package, and you can get all those awesome mods. The best mods were made for Half-Life 1.

Ranger366 your right about something yes Half-Life 1 is better than HL:S but only in a few things.For example HL1 has all those awesome mods like you said but the game has alot of gliches like getting stuck and that crap.On the other hand HL:S has realistic ragdolls,better looking water and not much gliches.And if you want HL models into Garry's Mod you can copy the materials,models,scripts,maps and all that **** and paste them is Gmod's main folder and bileive me I tried and it works.So in my opinion both HL1 and HL:S are cool.

true thats exactly how it is half life is definitely better you can get cool mods like azure sheep poke646 and poke646vendetta when quiver comes out you can get it it has cool addons and all of the expansions so HALF-LIFE SOURCE SUCKS!!!!!!!
