Another game from the legendary Earth series, the action of the game is a continuation of events that happened in earlier games, and takes place after the complete destroy of our planet. This time, you fight for all planets of the Solar System!
Choose between four sides of the conflict: the well-known ED, LC & UCS, and the new race in the series - Aliens. Four sides, four different styles of achieving victory - from weapons, through buildings, finishing on fight strategies. This won't make you bored.
The game is based on Earth-4 engine, and uses T&L rendering, pixel shaders and realistic lighting.

Cant wait for Earth 2170, the Earth series is great.
Sadly no, there isn't. They're not a japanese company and they're not supported by a major publisher of US or japanese birth. They would never get the resources to work on it... even with kickstarter. RTS is technically DEAD overall, practically no one plays them anymore. Especially in the all important US market.
That's the sad reality. Most people are into FPS or the next CoD not the Empire Earth 4s or the other greats.

I own almost all the old RTS games. However, there are some new ones kicking about if you look carefully. The spring engine is a good place to check and some of the major brands are still going, But we need another C&C game :)

wish there were some mods. plus i wish i could customize infantry..infact thats one of the things this game lacked. customization for infantry would have made it godly. *Unlocking new rifles, grenades, rocket launchers, sniper rifles plasma cannons etc for infantry would have been killer. add that to armor and maybe personal shields. one could make cheap conscript spam or high powered elites.*

.....but I think after all it wasnt as popular because of two main reasons.. they want as popular of a company and couldnt buy being acclaimed for themselves like everyone one else.. lol[ lets face it being acclaimed is only buyable voters and raters cant do crap about makeing a game like that.. its nothing more then a "title" so to speak of saying ooo look Im a uber game I pwnz u all!
very true the underrrated view was I dont think the gamers who rated it gave it a fair assesment because it not being they're style of game play.. I think the customization of the units is what sets it apart from every other rts and makes it the more enjoyable.. If they ever make another earth game they should make it fully fps/rts like a gamer I used to play battlezone and battlezone 2 they was older games but I mean that crap would be amazing... then again makeing a mod for bz2 of earth 2160 might be easier lmao.. either way its gonna kickbutt especially if the graphics are improoved to 2160..
Well customization of units was first seen in Warzone 2100 i think!
Earth 2140 while not as customizable as it's successors, beats Warzone by several years (1997). and Earth 2150 being just as customizable as its successor (Earth 2160) is released a year after Warzone (1999). not to mention the fact that Reality Pump Continues to stun the world with their Graphics.
Yeah, I think Earth 2160 looks even better than Supreme Commander, only the maps are not so big. But in Earth 2160 every faction has its own way of building, and thats why I like it.
