We trained a neural network to kill...
As an agent of the bureau, contact and investigate paranormal entities. The game cycle includes clear and sequential stages of investigation and exorcism, the success of which depends on effective teamwork and... your survival.
Players have the opportunity to comprehensively develop their characters and their abilities through:
Mix of dynamical investigation and retaining ghost hunting with a dash of innovative enemy behavior from MiroWin.
The development of a new product from our studio has reached an important phase – release in early access which will be June 20 on Steam.
We added to this is an innovative solution – the behavior of the enemy (ghost) is controlled by a neural network for the first time. For players, this means that the enemy not only talks to you (as you do to him), but also hears and sees you, has different types of temperament, understands the context of what you said and knows what decisions to make in this or that situation.
Provoke, anger or offend him and ask for an appropriate response? Or try to get all the information out of him for the sake of victory? The choice is yours.
The game also implements the concept of “location = enemy“. This means that we have added an assistant to the already smart ghost. The location also plays against you, placing various traps – they are above, below and everywhere, static and dynamic.
Ready to fight against their tandem alone or with friends? It’s up to you again.
But do not make the main mistake of beginners – to play based on the game experience that you accumulated in the ghost hunting genre. Don’t do this, because you will have a pattern break.
Less than a month remains before the release of the game on Steam and it's a nice time to tell more about the game enemies.
Sometimes it's boring to just make a devlog video, and this is what you get - a sketch with demonstration of the future Lobby.
Work continues on "Bureau of Contacts", the first game where a neural network is trained to kill. So how exactly does the neural network operate there?
We started our work on “Bureau of Contacts” with small experiments on the possibilities of modern AI technologies, and in the end we trained a neural...
