Kuiper Shards in The First Descendant are a vital resource used to upgrade your character's power. They are specifically used to enhance your Descendant's Modules (upgrades that you equip to your character and weapons). These useful addons provide various benefits, like increased damage, improved defense, or special effects. By spending Kuiper Shards, you can level up modules, making them more powerful and enhancing the effects they provide.

The First Descendant – How to Get Kuiper Shards Fast

There are two main methods for farming Kuiper Shards in The First Descendant, each with its own advantages:

  1. Completing Missions: This is the primary way to acquire a steady stream of Kuiper Shards. Focus on quests that you can finish very quickly to maximize your shard gain per hour. Look for missions that offer bonuses that can significantly increase your shard income. Some tasks are particularly well-suited for farming it, especially those in Sterile Land on hard level.
  2. Dismantling Modules: Through your journey, you'll collect modules that might not suit your playstyle or current build. These can be dismantled at Silion, an NPC located near Anais in Albion. Dismantling these modules will yield some Kuiper Shards. This is a good way to convert unwanted items into something valuable.

If you're okay with spending real money, you can purchase a Kuiper Shards Gain boost from the shop that increases your collected Kuiper Shards by 30%. It costs 90 caliber for 3 days or 175 caliber for 7 days.
