Accessory maker 8BitDo has created a new keyboard which takes inspiration from Nintendo's world-beating NES console.
The Retro Mechanical Keyboard features Bluetooth, 2.4G and wired USB modes, as well as a hot-swappable PCB and mappable keys via 8BitDo's powerful Ultimate Software application.
It's packing a 2000mAh Li-on battery which is apparently good for 200 hours of use, and will also be available in a Famicom colour scheme.
87 keys are present, and there's even a rather unusual 'Super Buttons' accessory which can be mapped to critical functions and looks like the NES pad's iconic A and B buttons.
You can pre-order the Retro Mechanical Keyboard today for $99.99; it ships on August 10th.

I love my Keychron keyboard, but man, that looks nice. I have only good things to say about 8bitdo controllers, so I'm definitely interested in this one.
sold. take money give keyboard. ill sell something dont worry about it.
they're BEAUTIFUL
...but I would like it if they had a number pad.
Hah, that's really cute.
I need a numpad though, minus points for a small Enter key too.
Those mechanical gaming keyboards very rarely have the local layout of my country.
Those giant super buttons are almost comical, kind of want one just to have a big red button lol.
But can it be used on the Famicom?
(or on NES if you want to cheat at Zanac. Reportedly in the conversion from the FDS to the NES for the west, they left in the FDS cheat codes which were designed to be typed in with the Family Basic keyboard.)
I like my Sunsonny keyboard but dang, both those keyboards look cool! Choices, choices.
@N00BiSH Perhaps they're saving that for an Atari Jaguar themed keyboard.
Ahhhh, wish it had a number pad
I needed to ENTER DATA!!!!!!!
I love the look, but I really need a 10-key number pad...
I am curious about what switches it uses, though.
Famicom looks cool but I have a ton of keyboards.
Oh boy… might sell my keychron for this. It just looks so…..beautiful. Like @JJtheTexan said though, need to find out what switches are included.
I wish it had a numpad, but the Famicom one looks great.
Just hope they have a Famicom mouse to go along with it.
Yo, I really like the famicom version!
It's hot swappable as well, so thats great.
