Uru: Ages Beyond Myst.

Vexx
An underrated platformer in the style of Super Mario 64. (Great on Xbox, but doesn't do as well on PS2.)
Its unused/lost content is fascinating, too- very reminiscent of Dinosaur Planet/Star Fox Adventures.

Don't know why I picked 4 specifically, just the first that came to mind.

X, for the Game Boy

Ys Book I & II
A great old-school action RPG- and as one of the few CD-ROM games released in the '80s, it has a rockin' soundtrack.

I'm going really old school. I used to play this with my Dad when I was really little:

I played the PlayStation 1 demo when I was younger. A strange game with a nice soundtrack.

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody
Gives you an achievement for literally doing nothing.
(I need to actually give this one a serious try- it's supposed to be one of the best in the series.)

It might be one of the more complex Harvest Moon's. I tried it a week or two ago and got the melody for doing nothing for a while. The atmosphere is interesting.

Ice Climbers Nintendo Entertainment System
One of my earliest games. It is a little bit tricky but still fun, propably even more with two players.

Klonoa Door To Phantomile
A remake/remaster was released not too long ago and I think it is a good game. It is called Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series.

Haven't played it, but the voxel-based* graphics are pretty surreal. Very advanced for their time, and very distinct.

*Or is it a height map? Either way, pretty neat.
