Samsung invests.

For the construction of a hospital in Choluteca the multinational South Korean Samsung plans to invest $35 million, while for the electrification in rural areas and renewable energy projects it has estimated it will spend $40 million and $45 million respectively. The projects are expected to start in the second half of the year, reports Laprensa.hn (Feb. 18, 2015). Chang Ng, development manager for Samsung infrastructure projects in Latin America said "The business potential of Honduras and political stability of the current government has generated confidence in foreign investors seeking to develop large-scale projects such as these ... We are going hand in hand with the National Investment Council of Honduras." He added that "The Government also told us about the an electronic government project, one in which citizens can pay for services such as license, taxes, etc, all via the Internet in order to further expedite paperwork. In other countries it has been be proved that if payment methods are facilitated then people do pay."
